Movie Reviews of Zorro, The Gay BladeMovie Review: Zizzling zorro Summary: 5 Stars
My family and I have watched this movie so many times that we can recite word for word. It is a classic. We never tire of it. Unfortunately we have it on the old Beta system and it is not to be found in Australia to purchase. I heard about Amazon and what a wonderful surprise to find it here. We have to go out and purchase a multi region DVD now to play the movie. It will be worth it though. Now I won't have to worry about the poor state of the video at the video shop. Movie Review: Brilliant dialogue, excellent comedic acting... Summary: 5 Stars
This film is an absolutely hilarious twist on the legend of Zorro. George Hamilton gave one of (if not his best) performances. The show gets stolen by two outstanding actors: Ron Leibman and Brenda Vaccaro. Brenda could not have been funnier with as she gave her character (Florinda) quick wit. Ron Leibman (The Alcalde) was awsome as the sarcastic iron fisted and jack booted tyrant. I recommend this film very highly if you enjoy excellent script work and outstanding comedic performances.
Movie Review: A Cult Classic Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my college freshman son. He's really into comedy, and I knew he'd love this one.
George Hamilton plays twins, one the Califonia Cockerel Zorro, and the other his brother sent off to the British Navy, Bunny Wiggelsworth. You have to see it to beleive it.
This is a really funny movie in a very politically incorrect way in the Monty Python style of The Holy Grail and The Life of Brian.
Movie Review: Ho Ho Zorro Summary: 5 Stars
If you're old enough to remember Zorro either at the "Saturday Serials" at the movies or the Disney version on TV, this movie will crack you up! George Hamilton
in a dual role of Zorro AND his twin brother Bunny... I laughed so much the first
time I saw it I missed some of the dialogue.. Get this one for your comedy section
of your movie collection.. What a way to brighten up a day!!!
Movie Review: Future cult classic. Summary: 5 Stars
This has been a family favorite movie for years, so it was time to get a DVD copy. Good news is that it is first quality. Bad news is that there are not many extras included (they did not make those back when this was filmed anyway). If you have never seen this, the casting is perfect and the humor is both slapstick and subtle. Almost every line has a humorous spin.
