Movie Review: George Hamilton is a comic genius!
Summary: 5 Stars
I have been a fan of this very funny, very silly, completely hilarious movie since it was released with something to offend everyone! From the opening scene you have to realize that this is a farce and meant to be taken as such. I had enjoyed "Love at First Bite" but George Hamilton's portrayal of Don Diego/Zorro/Bunny Wigglesworth was even better and his accent was beautiful, ironically better than Brenda Vaccaro's. Ron Liebman was mostly funny if a little too over the top sometimes and Lauren Hutton, though gorgeous, was odd casting but somehow it all worked. My friends and family are constantly quoting from the movie; it's surprising how often we get the opportunity! Everytime it's on Fox movie channel I watch it since the only uncut copy I have is on VHS and starting to wear out. Please someone release the anniversary edition or something!Movie Review: I'll save you a search

Of all the people who rated this movie, only 4 gave it less than 4 stars. 2 could not get the DVD to work on their $29 Wal-Mart player, one would not know funny if it hit him/her/it broadside, and one was too young to understand classic humor. The rest of us thought it is one of the funniest movies ever made. A movie you could watch multiple times. George Hamilton is very underappreciated as a comedy actor. He is almost constantly funny in word or expression in this movie (Even better than Love at First Bite). This was the last generation's Jack Sparrow (Depp must have studied Hamilton). The rest of the cast is really good too, but it is George's movie. I am glad it was released on DVD. And I guess I am just one of those people who buys the movie for the movie rather than to see what else is on the discMovie Review: Fabulously funny

This version of the legend of Zorro is a lot lighter than usual but very entertaining. Our real hero, Zorro, is put out of commission by an accident that occurs during a romantic interlude with a married woman. To help the people of his small town from the oppressive government, however, Zorro must continue! And, it would also help to save our hero's butt! So in comes our newest saviour! He does it all wearing puce, lemon yellow and a lot of fringes. And don't forget the helpful servant Paco who happens to be mute and a bit of a mime - or our beautiful lady who falls for Zorro (the straight one, thankfully).It all makes for a wonderful movie. Part comedy of errors, part intellectual comedy, this film is just funny. A definite must for every member of your family!
Movie Review: Hysterical movie, BUT...

This is a hysterical movie! The subject matter may offend some people, but in my opinion the biggest offense of this movie is that it is not Closed Caption, or Subtitled! I remember seeing this movie back in the 80's and laughed my butt off. So, when I saw it again on DVD at Amazon, I just had to buy it and share the laugher with my wife. Unfortunately, my wife -who is Deaf- could not share in the experience because DVD was not Closed Caption, or Subtitled. It's really sad that even after the 1990 Federal Law (ADA), which requires movies to be accessible to the Deaf, they chose not to Closed Caption, or Subtitled this hilarious movie. Shame on them! I only wish the Gay Blade could enforce justice in our modern times!!Movie Review: Good family Fun

This movie is one of the best campy movies ever done. The story line is an old one, and commonly done, but when Zorro shows up in a Gold Lame outfit- that's new. And this film is memorable, i first saw if when i was 8, and REMEMBERED it till i was old enough to purchase it. Parents, this movie is the kind of roll on the floor funny your kids can actually watch, and you'll enjoy the kooky-ness of a brightly colored secret agent too.
So when planning a movie night with the family, or just looking for a movie to add to your collection- think Zorro the Gay Blade. It's totally worth it.
