Movie Review: Fincher is the King of Crime-Drama
Summary: 5 Stars
Personally, I enjoy this film more than any of Fincher's others, and I am a big fan of his. One of the things that surprised me is that I really didn't mind Jake Gylenhaal, whom I normally would not go out of my way to see. At times, this film can be intentionally slow, and you just need to stick with it. I remember a few hours after I saw this film on opening night, I was actually afraid to go out to my car. It was the idea that this messed up killer operated in the real world, and was never caught. With ZODIAC, you get a creepiness that pounds at you without your knowledge, and you don't realize until you have to disassociate your real life from the movie. This particular disc is loaded, and the extras including fascinating documentaries are awesome. I could not recommend this movie more, and if you don't like it, you're probably lame.Movie Review: Best David Fincher Movie. Best Special Features too!

I am an unabashed fan when it comes to anything David Fincher. This man has a demanding eye for detail and has an impressive pedigree. I remember seeing this movie in the theater and walking out bemused of if I liked or disliked what I just watched. I decided to purchase the Blu Ray (because I really just like David Fincher)and watch the movie for a second time. This time around I was on the bandwagon claiming this is David Fincher at his peak. The kicker is, I am not a special features guy, and I watched every bit of special features this had to offer because I was so enthralled with the finished product and the borderline obsessive-compulsive eye for detail this story contained. I highly recommend this blu ray. It is beautiful and the special features truly are special.Movie Review: The Zodiac (Blu-ray)

I am a Blu-ray disc enthusiast and I have to say that this film has been given top notch treatment in its transter to HD. I owned this film in Standard DVD and now own it on Blu-ray disc and the difference in video quality is amazing. While the Standard DVD looked good upconverted to 1080p in my HDTV, it simply could not match the three-dimensionality, vibrant color, and detail of the Blu-ray version. This is one of the best Blu-ray discs I have seen and would highly recommend it to fans of the film.Movie Review: A must-have blu-ray.

This a top quality film in every aspect, of course I love most of David Fincher's work. Zodiac is also one of the best blu-rays out there. The presentation is so realistic it really is as if you are looking through a window and if you reach through you could feel the textures and experience the atmosphere. Well there is nothing more than I can say about David Fincher's Zodiac. Epic in scope and absolutly amazing blu-ray. By far top five of the best looking and sounding blu-rays I own and will ever own. Every shot is perfection on precision at at finest. I highly recommended to any movie/blu-ray lover to buy this one. An absolute marvel to film making. Don't miss it.
