Movie Reviews of Young@HeartMovie Review: Charming, Uplifting, and Great Fun Summary: 5 Stars
One of the very few films that I could watch again and again. Those folks in the film feel like family to me. Hell, even the jail inmates seemed vulnerable and quite human. I can't stop singing the songs, and can't wait to buy a CD of the soundtrack. A film that can not only renew faith in the human condition, but speaks to the angelic that is hidden within ourselves, and which can come out in community and song...great fun!
Movie Review: There's hope for us baby boomers! Summary: 5 Stars
Love this entertaining video!
Excellent editing on the behind-the-scenes of over-the-hill performers, some of which weren't that sold on the idea - yet later became stars in a world they never expected.
The documentary draws you in and you suddenly find yourself surprisingly attached to the various aging yet adorable individuals.
I'm looking foward to watching it again!
(That means it must be good.)
Movie Review: One of the most inspirational movies I've seen Summary: 5 Stars
We just watched this movie yesterday and, long before the end, both my girlfriend and I had tears in our eyes. Seeing those old people (average age 80, and one of them is 93!) having so much fun doing what they love to do - perform - with so much energy you just wouldn't believe it. I put this movie in the top 10 (if not higher) most inspirational and moving movies I've ever seen. The concert finale was just phenomenal!
Movie Review: YOUNG AT HEART Summary: 5 Stars
This was heart warming, inspirational, and a pure joy. I laughed, cried,
and reflected the wonderful times I can have in my golden years. A must
see for all ages. I saw this documentary at a theatre, and had to get
a copy to watch it again. I still have tears of joy just thinking about the wonderful performances from these marvelous human beings. Seniors
go rock, punk, and roll with fervor!
Movie Review: Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
This film documenting the Young@Heart Chorus was absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of it. It was uplifting and inspirational to young and old alike. I can't stop humming the songs and I can't stop telling my friends to go see it! I plan to buy the dvd as soon as it comes out and I'm going to show it to all my elderly relatives.
It's fun, it's entertaining and it will bring tears to your eyes.
