Movie Review: fun action
Summary: 3 Stars
The idea of mutants and humans is great. And the film is obviously at a specific public that will enjoy such movies and soundtrack.
It's a fun trilogy - but as with most trilogies, the quality goes downhill.
The first X-Men was really enjoyable, while the next two were mediocre in quality; it shows even in the actors' performances.
Patrick Stewart, in the third installment of X-Men, particularly looks as if he were computer generated, it's that pathetic and bad.
In any case, it's fun, action-filled, and it's got a good cast. The movie is worth watching just for that.

I have to say that I love these movies, since I'm a comics fan. I specially liked the second movie, and with this movie is the issue I had with this set. The other two movies are alright, but I don't know why, the second movie is in FULLSCREEN version, which I didn't like at all... The box is not too fancy compared with, say, The Lord Of The Rings Special Extended Edition, but what matters is what is inside. More extras would be great, but for the price is O.K. Don't get fooled by the "alternative endings" in the third movie, they don't change anything relevant in it. They are just scenes that didn't make it to the final edition. SPOILER: maybe the only difference is the scene in which Rogue changes her mind and tells Iceman she couldn't take the cure and remains a mutant.
If you have the $18 and want to complete your comic movies collection, go ahead, it's a good set to have.

Isn't it nice that Amazon wants a review of a product that was never received? When it was three days past the due date, I asked them to look into the shipment. They told me to wait. i had never seen any of the X-MEN movies. i was tired of superheroes but at 17.49 for this box set i figured it was about time to check them out. it turns out that all 3 movies are excellent. these are probably the best superhero movies ever made. okay, among the best superhero movies ever made. they have a serious subtext that adds weight to the stories. the acting (for the most part) is excellent. PATRICK STEWART AND HUGH JACKMAN in particular. all in all these are some of the most enjoyable movies i've seen in quite sometime. if you pick this box up now while it's selling for 17.49, that's less than 6 bucks a movie. it's a tremendous bargain for 3 very enjoyable movies.
