Movie Review: Better show that I first thought.
Summary: 5 Stars
Being a fan of the early 90's X-men cartoon series we were loathed to give this new series a chance. However, after giving it a chance with an open mind we will say will say it did grow on us. No, it doesn't follow the comic story lines. It is more of a mixture of the comic book and the movie series. The Spike character is similar to the godson character in the 90's cartoon series in his relationship with Storm. Different powers, but similar idea. The volume is still early in the series so everyone is still being introduced. The series production was pretty good. Good theme song and the character development was done well. The only thing we disliked about this disc is the fact that you have to collect 5-6 dvds to get the whole season. Too bad the series wasn't collected until the third season. We know it lets them make more money, but by now the series should have been put in a collection.

Volume 2 of 4 from Season One of X-Men: Evolution animated series. Includes episodes 4-6. "Mutant Crush" - Raven spots Blob (Fred Dukes) at a truck rally and decides to enlist him on her evil team. When Blob enrolls at Bayville High, all the kids make fun of him except for Jean, so he decides that she will be his by any means necessary. "Speed and Spyke" - Robberies have been happening at a school in New York. Evan, Spyke, is determined to find out who's the robber. He stakes out one night to catch the culprit but sees only a blur, Quicksilver. "Middleverse" - When Kurt is feeling ignored by his teammates, he teleports into an old, locked science lab where hs is vaporized into another dimension.
