Movie Reviews of Working GirlMovie Review: An 80's business movie where it is actually good to get ahead. Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent movie. Many people looking at this movie and may think that it is a chick flick; it is not. It is a wonderful movie for any one that wants to get ahead in business (maybe not exactly the way Tess get ahead. it has some inspiring lines like when Tess says, "I read all kinds of things. You never know when the next big idea will come from."
This movie is primarily set in the mergers and acquisitions world. Where Tess (the title character) feels deceived once too often and takes things into her own hands. Sigourney Weaver is excellent as Tess's boss, and soametime can be inspiring herself with the confidence she exudes (even though she is the villian. Harrison Ford is funny as Tess's love interest. it is a great movie all around. I only wish that there is an edition with better extras like with the movie Wall Street. I suggest you get this movie and enjoy it.
Movie Review: Working Girl Summary: 5 Stars
This is a really good film with a great cast -- Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Melanie Griffith, and June Cusack. It hit theaters in 1988 and tells the story of a talented, ambitious, and honest secretary (Griffith) who struggles to succeed in her chosen profession. The plot is made more interesting by the fact that her boss is also a woman who will use anybody and any means to get what she wants. And then there's Harrison Ford who, of course, is caught in the middle. It's a fun movie, smart, and still an all too familiar story today in 2011. Well filmed. Great music. Buy it!
Movie Review: rags to riches Summary: 5 Stars
Okay, it's the usual story but with a twist. What makes the movie are the actors; sometimes, they are so right for the part. I don't think I like any other movie Melanie Griffith has made, but she's perfect in this one. Harrison and Sigourney are spot-on as Melanie's partner and her conniving boss. This is an old movie so the supporting cast are also well known actors today but were newcomers then, Alec Baldwin and Joan Cusack.
Movie Review: Music and pictures of the Twin Towers Summary: 5 Stars
This movie has one bad scene. The rest of it is a good story, What is really nice is the music at the beginning of the film was used at 9/11/01. This also has beautiful scenery of New York and the Twin Towers at the beginning.
Movie Review: Romance At It's Best!! Summary: 5 Stars
The movie itself had a good story line, with a perfect touch of romance.
I love Harrison Ford and Melanie Grffith, they are perfect together in this movie, not to mention Alec Baldwin, Sigourney Weaver and Joan Cusack.
