Movie Reviews of Working GirlMovie Review: Simply the BEST & nothing else measures up....fond memories =) Summary: 5 Stars
This movie simply is the best. It's very relatable and so much FUN 2 watch after all these years. I was born around the time this movie came out and this movie has so much more impact on me now then it did when i was a little kid. I totally relate to Tess but I'm just a male version and i know what its like to experience "The Glass Ceiling" effect at work. This film will have you screaming for the under dog all the way =) Simply the best and the Devil Wears Prada just doesn't compare.
Movie Review: A Smart Romantic Comedy Summary: 5 Stars
Melanie Griffith in the role of her life. Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Joan Cusack, Alec Baldwin and the remainder of the cast are at the absolute TOP of their game - and Ms. Griffith more than holds her own in a difficult role. Difficult to realistically portray a Staten-Island Secretary who has ambition but all the cards stacked against her as a sympathetic character, but Griffith succeeds. You WANT her to succeed, and Melanie's "Tess" does.
Movie Review: What a movie! Summary: 5 Stars
Melanie was just PERFECT in this! And Joan Cusack! So good, so funny, so perfectly cast! "5000 dolluhs?? And it's not even leather!" I just love this movie so much. And Harrison! What a super-hottie! But more than anything what makes this story work is the mix of plot AND character. It is just so real, so easy to picture actually playing out in life; all the painful trials and tribulations -- then the hard fought for success! Still a lot of fun!!
Movie Review: Modern Cinderella in the business world. Summary: 5 Stars
My title isn't meant to be mocking - I like this kind of a story! This movie is very similar,in a way,to 'The Pretty Woman"(with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts) - which is also one of my favorites."The Working Girl" is different, though - there is much more of a plot! The suspense, the sudden twists, the humor... and the romance - all makes this a treat to watch and enjoy!
Movie Review: What's not to like? Summary: 5 Stars
This movie has it all - charm, suspense, comedy, and Harrison Ford - all wrapped up in a great movie that you can watch over and over. Harrison Ford gets caught between two women of the corporate world. His heart leads him to love one while his head tells him to do what is best for the company. Lucky for him it happens to be the same woman!
