Movie Review: Great performances in fictional Rodgers & Hart biography
Summary: 5 Stars

First of all, this can't be widescreen because it was made circa 1948. That said, it is a wonderful (but HIGHLY fictitious) biography filled with interesting performers at their musical best, including June Allyson, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney & Ann Sothern who are terrific. The galaxy of MGM singers & dancers is overwhelming, and their are literally dozens of songs performed. Highly recommended.

Movie Review: Music, Music, Music...Wow!

OK...so the story didn't follow Lorenz Hart's life path exactly (it was probably even more forlorn that depicted in this DVD), but the music and the performers were the best of the day. Amazon has brought the public another memory of fun and music. If you want to spend an evening with some of the best of the "old music" this DVD is for you. Every song and dance is a classic!

This terrific movie has all MGM's great stars singing and dancing to ROdgers and Hart's wonderful songs. It is a loose biograhy of one of the most prolific and excellent music writing teams. Rodgers' music and Hart's clever lyrics shine. The DVD is of high quality. The color and sound are near perfect. I highly recommend this.

I love musicals..I saw this on TCM and I told myself this belongs in my collection of musical movies. Since I have purchased this movie I have probably watched this at least 8 times and everytime I watch it I find something that missed.
