Summary: 3 Stars
One of the most authentic and engaging films on Native Americans you may ever see. Released in theaters around 1979, Windwalker is the story of a Cheyenne warrior and his lifelong altercations with the Crow. No cowboys or pioneers here. Strictly Indian life. Beautifully filmed drama/action/love/adverture. This film was done long before "Dances With Wolves," but is just as effective and moving. Can't reveal the actual storyline - surprise ending! Color/some subtitling when the tribes are conversing. I've waited 20 years for this film to hit video and it's worth the wait.
