Movie Review: Very good if you know nothing about yoga
Summary: 4 Stars
This is a truly basic, beginner-level introduction to yoga. The instructor does the poses normally and has a modifier using props, such as a chair, a towel, and a pillow, to show you (us) how to do an easier version until you can develop strength or flexibility to do the pose without these props.
I like yoga just for the athletic or exercise aspect of it and this DVD delivers. It focuses primarily on the physical part of it.
My slight critiques:
* I think the setting could be a little less bright and the music more relaxing. I found the music a bit jarring
* Also, I think the instructor doesn't need to talk so much through it. I was thinking about how much her throat must've hurt after all that talking. Something she says almost every other minute is "If you're following
Other than that, this is a great DVD and I plan on using it frequently. It's a thorough, challenging (to me) yoga workout.
