Movie Reviews of Will & Grace - Series FinaleMovie Review: UNFORGETTABLE Summary: 5 Stars
Really a nice ending to a memorable series. I especially loved Jack and Karen serenading each other with Unforgettable, you could see them look at each other at the end and it was Sean Hayes looking at Megan Mullally and it was touching. I always appreciated when Beverly Lesley was a character on the show so I was jazzed when he popped up, and his demise was appropriate. As for Will and Grace, well I just thought the ending for them was perfect, but was it just me or did you notice that no mention was made if Grace was still with Leo or Will was still in his partnership..it was just Will and Grace again....interesting...Well, I was a fan of this series, but I thought all the guest stars hurt the overall quality of the show, but I have to admit my favorite episode was the one when Michael Dougles guest stared...and I never warmed to Will's last boyfriend, I just never saw Will with someone like him, they just had no chemistry, I was always partial to Patrick Dempsey, he and Will had great chemistry and they made a handsome couple..anyway, it's a bit sad that it's all over, but at least it went out with a touching finale, that summed all the characters up in a heartwarming way and I can't help, but feel good about that fact.
Movie Review: Goodnight, Gracie. Summary: 5 Stars
If I had to decribe the series finale of Will & Grace in one word it would be --Spectacular-- It was the Finale of ALL Finales. W&G has always touched me somewhere deep in my heart. This show is "Unforgettable". Leading me to my next point.
Jack and Karen's Duet of Unforgettable was truly amazing! I loved the song, their voices, and that look we saw when the song finished with: "Unforgettable too". That look touched me. And the fact that they were living together was really cool.
But Will and Grace were not. Some people think that the 20 year freeze-out was stupid, and impossible. It's not. It happens all the time. And the point was that no matter how long you stay apart from your soul-mate, you'll find that you can't live without them. For eight long years I have loved this show. I hope you do too. I loved the Finale the most.
In honor of eight years of the best show on Televison, I have but one thing to say: "Goodnight, Gracie, goodnight."
Movie Review: LOVED IT!!!.....but where was Elliot? Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely loved how the "W & G" series ended with the nasty queen Beverly Leslie dying (hilarious); the antics of Lila and Ben (I wonder if the writers were paying tribute to the late Gregory Hines, Ben, from Season 2>)?; Will and Grace rekindling their friendship; Jack and Karen living a happy life together; Grace with her true love, Will with his. But, I think it would have been great to show what happened to Elliot, Jack's offspring. I loved that character and wish that the show would have incorporated him into the last show. After 20 years, the final part of the finale, Elliot could have been shown with a wife and kids, or anything just to have let us know what happened to him. Elliot grounded Jack in a lot of ways, and I always loved their relationship. Oh well, Kudos to the second best comedy ever !!! (sorry Will and Grace but I thought that those 4 lovable gals from Miami had the best show ever <"The Golden Girls">). I will surely miss "W & G".
Movie Review: A Good Ending Summary: 5 Stars
This episode just finished a few minutes ago, and as an avid Will and Grace fan who has every episode literally memorized, I must say this was not as I predicted at the beginning of the season. I thought Will and Grace would end up together in the end, and I was almost right until this episode. *****Spoilers!!!!****
Will and Grace end up not talking for two year, each having a child in the mean time. By the meddling of Jack and Karen, they end up meeting again. Karen ends up broke after the divorce and doesn't want Jack to be with Beverly Leslie to have the money each loves. Twenty years pass and Will and Grace haven't seen each other until their children meet at college in the same manner they did. Jack and Karen live together with the aging Rosario. Their children end up getting married and each of the group find that they haven't changed. Over all I am pleased with the ending and can't wait to get this DVD.
Movie Review: Shed A Tear Summary: 5 Stars
I am an avid Will and Grace fan and when I saw the series finale on DVD I bought it.
I was not 100% in love with the finale - i felt it was extremely rushed into one hour.
I think the best part though is how the series was tied back to the beginning (with them sitting on the same chairs talking on the phone to eachother ~ to the bar scene where they do shots).
The saddest part (saddest in a good way) was the duet of Megan Mullally (Karen) and Sean Hayes (Jack). That song just puts the series finale into perspective.
This DVD is wonderful though I have a feeling the series finale will be included in the final season when that is released on DVD - so this disk might not be a neccessity because it will be included then; however, for those avid fans who enjoy watching W&G daily - its worth the money.
W&G The series will always get 5 stars from me.
