Yeah this movie is not for everyone. If you live in some Disneyland fantasy world waiting for the latest hollywood hunk to magically appear in your bedroom, this movie is not for you. It may seem confusing at first, and I would suggest watching it a couple of times before you decide it is too "artsy." The subject matter, a middle school boy falls in love with an older teen boy is not going to make the watch it list of the catholic church. Different strokes for different folks, not all of us share the same thoughts beliefs or values. This movie gives us a new point of view and should be appreciated for that reason.Movie Review: beautiful. amazing. ground-breaking. experimental

this is an amazing film. ground-breaking cinematography. experimental. poetic. if you don't like art films- you shouldn't watch this. this movie is for people that really appreciate something totally different. it's a coming of age gay love story, which isn't anything new, but the visuals are so stunning that the movie will blow you away. i'm not gay, and i think any open minded straight person can appreciate this film- you don't have to be gay to get it.Movie Review: A Must-See

This is a classic film with a slightly fresh angle. The subject is classic a parental custody battle over a boy that both parents love. The lack of over-sentimentality combined with its natural acting makes it one of my top favorites! The movie carefully and cleverly places the "gay" issue in the background while subtly exploring the father-son relationship as well as marriage. It is truly worth your time.Movie Review: An insightful, wonderful film.

If you enjoy films about the awkward path of adolesence, this movie is for you. It doesn't hurt that the GORGEOUS Patrick White co-stars as the boy the main character has a crush on.
