Movie Review: To a Woman's Heart

I love the "Wild Orchid". It is my favorite movie. I have to say, for a movie that deals with erotic sexual situations, this movie handles the subject with sensitivity. It is not a movie based on dirty sex, but instead it is based on passion, fantasy, and sensuality. The location in which it was filmed is in reality the sexual capital of the world, Brazil and I applaud the creator for the decision to base the movie there. The music is a whole other case, of brillance. The music is superb. The soundtrack is unforgettable. Only one error, the song, "It only has to happen once" by Ambitious Lovers sould have been incorporated in the CD soundtrack. This is the best movie, and Mickey Rourke is the perfect wild and in control lead actor. This is the movie that first introduced Mickey Rourke to his future wife Carre' Otis. The passionate sensuality displayed by the characters of this script was not simply actors playing a part but a true to life spark that ignited between lovers on film , forever immortalized for the romantics of it's audience, for all time. Sadly, the passion of these two has seen it's ups and downs off screen however, this movie will continue to truly ignite the memories of those of us who have been privelaged to watch an expression of professional actors who transcend a script and bring to film, TRUE LOVE, TRUE PASSION, and the art of sensuality ... Blessed are the thespians among us, for they ignite to life the dreams and imagination of all they touch. "Carre' forever" is a tatoo that now adorns Mickey Rourks arm. Clearly this beautyful young woman has not only a place in cinematic history forever, but within the heart of one of the greatest contempory actors of our time. If you are a romantic, if you love acting with true passion this movie will grace your memory and perhaps personal video collection, forever.....Movie Review: Sexiness aside, the sentimentality was a big draw.

Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of porn in any sense of the word, but I've always been a sucker for odd ball attractions. I think Wheeler and Emily more than qualify. He the brooding and essentielly lonely man of wealth, she the somewhat naive and sweet natured transplant from the midwest. Hmmm, on second thought, maybe it's just more cliche than oddball. Well, however you look at it, it's an enjoyable movie if just for the locale and soundtrack. And I must say that Mickey Rourke has never been more appealing to me. I also thought Bisset did an outstanding job with Claudia, very brash and quite the ball buster. I originally saw this movie when it aired on Showtime and was disappointed by the video release which had cut out what I thought were crucial scenes with Emily and Wheeler, no sex, but emotional outbursts and confessions. When viewed without them, you wonder how some of the following scenes came about. Perhaps a director's cut could rememdy that. More Zalman King goodies that I liked were Wild Orchid 2: Two Shades of Blue (although how this would qualify as a sequel always had me scratching my head) and Red Shoe Diaries (more great music and a sexy pre-X-Files David Duchovny).Movie Review: A totally unexpected pleasure to watch this film.

I never thought I would see a movie so blatantly erotic that wasn't pornography. This movie had sensualism and eroticism down to a t. You seem to fall in love and get caught up with Emily and Wheeler. I am truly amazed at Zalman King's ability to capture human nature so well. He is truly a remarkable man. WHEN I FIRST SAW WILD ORCHID, I WAS VERY CAPTIVATED BY MICKEY ROURKE. HE IS SO VERY SEXY AND VERY SENSUAL. WHEN HE AND OTIS MET AND THE WAY THE SPARKS FLEW, I WAS HOOKED. I COULDN'T TAKE MY EYES OF THE MOVIE. THE CONNECTION BETWEEN ROURKE AND OTIS WAS MAGNIFICENT. THE LOVE SCENES WERE A BIG HIT WITH ME. I FELT AS THOUGH I WERE THE ONE BEING MADE LOVE TO. TO FEEL THAT MUCH HEAT AND TENSION IN A RELATIONSHIP, IS ONLY ONE I COULD EVER HOPE TO HAVE.
