Movie Review: An Important Film
Summary: 5 Stars
I watched this film for the first time this evening and am very glad I did so. Prior to watching this film, I had come to similar conclusion such as wondering why the military-industrial complex was running around without a leash and pondering why more Americans weren't concerned about our government officials pandering increasingly to corporations in recent years. But it's been ingrained in us to be patient and to maintain faith in our government and the people.
This film helps to expose what's really been going on behind the scenes and how the American people have done little to stop it. It helps us to connect the dots to finally accept the fact that we were taken for a ride. A ride paid for with our own tax dollars used to pad corporate pockets.
I definitely recommend this film!

This falls under the "if you're not enraged, you're not paying attention" category. To be brief: this isn't a low-budget conspiracy documentary with unsupported accusations and ranting (we need not mention names..). This is a quality production, and the contributors are legitimate experts in their fields. The famous Eisenhower speech warning against the "military industrial complex" is actually shown at great length, not merely quoted out of context. Politicians, neo-cons, defense contractors, and military brass are given ample time, so you can hear in their own words their side of it. There are also two touching personal stories that are followed, to show how all this ends up affecting average people. I seriously urge every American to buy, rent, or borrow this film and watch it through. We all got duped, its time to accept that and get to the bottom of whats going on. Not bad, but not great either. Simply more of the same. Worth watching, some points and arguments definitely worthy of consideration, but don't expect impartiality or objectivity. If nothing else, it's good for keeping abreast of current liberal/pacifist/defeatist doctrine.
