Movie Reviews of White NightsMovie Review: Amazing... even if you just watch for the dancing Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is a beautiful love story and representation of life and times in Russia at the time of its making, but even if you can't see that, it's worth watching for the dancing. Mikhail and Gregory are just absolutely amazing, and that in itself makes the film worth watching. For those of you with a heart, however, there will be a lot more to it.
Movie Review: Great Classic!! - White Nights Summary: 5 Stars
I remember watching this as a kid with my Dad!! It was inspirational in me travelling & being interested in foreign culture as I got older, & I guess it has just stuck with me over the years!! Even the scene with Lionel Ritchie's 'Say you Say me' playing in the background!!
I cannot believe this is not on DVD yet!!! Hopefully soon
Movie Review: every thing Summary: 5 Stars
the beauty, grace, and syncronozation of these two men dancing from such different backgrounds and styles was magnificent. The love, trust, and faith under such difficult situations was indescribable. The story with its action and psychological background kept me riveted to the screen (5 OR SIX TIMES OR MORE!) When do I order my dvd?!!!
Movie Review: Spectacular Dancing Summary: 5 Stars
This movie stars two top dancers in their respective fields, tap and ballet. Even though the plot is somewhat slow and dated, reminiscent of the Cold War era, the individual and duo dance scenes are awesome. Seeing Helen Mirren in earlier days is an added bonus. If you love dance, I guarantee that you will love this movie!
Movie Review: Beautiful movie Summary: 5 Stars
Briefly, I love this movie. The story is excellent, the dancing is breathtaking, and the views of St Petersburg enchanting. I think if I hadn't just been in St Petersburg this summer, I would have missed the import of the views, but it was lovely to "visit" it again. Baryshnikov's athleticism is phenomenal.
