Movie Review: Classic SF at its best

When Worlds Collide is one of the finest science fiction offerings of the 1950s. It is the product of two great producers, Cecil B. DeMille and George Pal, and it is an excellent testiment to their work. The storyline is superb, the matte paintings beautiful, and the acting excellent.Movie Review: Fast, Old Time Fun

I remembered this film as a kid in the 50s, and I still love it. It's fast-paced, to the point, with heroics, villainy, and one of the classic matte paintings of the 50s (I believe by Chesley Bonestell) seen at the end.
