Movie Reviews of What Lies Beneath

Movie Review: Excellent suspense drama with a twist!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm not sure I could watch this movie again, however it is not for the reasons some of the other reviewers have written.
I actually found this film completely engrossing, and was on the edge of my seat at the end. The suspense is completely overpowering and it had me shaking at points.
The acting and directing is marvelous and it was just wonderful to see a really good thriller. The ghost is really well done by both the actress who plays her and the effects used to haunt Michelle's character....Both Harrison and Michelle give excellent performances, as a matter of fact I think I can honestly say I was completely surprised by Harrisons work in this film!
The ending is what flipped me out though, it had such a horrible twist to the story that was so well done and upsetting that I'm just not sure I could watch it again!

Movie Review: WHAT LIES BENEATH! OH YEAH! a ROBERT ZEMECKIS film
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie is excellent. It way outdoes that piece of trash Hollow Man(Smelly Man as far as I'm concerned). Congrats to Rob Zemeckis (the director of: Cast Away(Which I want to see), Contact, Forest Gump, Back to the Future 1, 2, and 3, Who Framed Roger Rabit, and Romancing the Stone), for this wonderful piece of work. I can't wait to see what he does after this(besides Cast Away). This movie has it all, suspense, humor, great casting, great story, great special effects, way cool cinematography, and best of all, a GREAT director to bring it all together into a movie. Michelle Pheifer is excelent. Harrison Ford(Han Solo and Indiana Jones here) is excellent. I have to reccommend this. This is a great piece of filmmaking here. Again, congrats to Rob Zemeckis, you have yet again made another hit, and I hope for many more to follow.

Movie Review: A Thriller with a twist
Summary: 5 Stars

Hitchcock would have been proud of Robert Zemeckis as the director of this flick. Zemeckis used the little tricks of the suspense trade like a cracking of a door, spontaneous images and a loud noise during a quite scene, etc. to create a phenomenal thriller. The suspense is breathtaking and the whole concept has been perfectly executed.
It didn't hurt that superb actors like Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer are starring in this movie who play their roles very good without a question.
With the use of only a few special effects, the suspenseful atmosphere is communicated throughout the film and it's definitely a movie you want to watch over the years frequently, even though the initial surprise factors from the first viewing may have already disappeared. But Thriller is a cinematic experience and very well done.

Movie Review: Michelle Pfeiffer is amazing in this very exciting thriller
Summary: 5 Stars

Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the best actresses alive. She's beautiful, talented, and captivating. Her acting techniques allow her to be able to have an incredible range of characters. And What Lies Beneath is no exception. Pfeiffer plays Claire Spencer, a fourty-something housewife trying to cope with empty nest. Her second husband, scientist Norman Spencer played very effectively by Harrison Ford, seems loving, kind, and caring. But then Claire finds out the one mistake that Norman made, and is haunted by it. Robert Zemeckis directs a very scary and exciting movie with his wonderful style. The score perfectly foreshadows the intriguing plot with suspense and power. The ending is absolutely great, leaving you breathless and eager for more. Be sure to see this brilliant horror film in the style of the great Alfred Hitchcock.

Movie Review: A very jumpy film, One of the scariest movies of the year!!
Summary: 5 Stars

What Lies Beneath is a very scary movie and is very jumpy.

Pfieffer(Claire Spencer) plays the house wife of Ford(Dr Norman Spencer),everything is going well until Claire starts to hear noises in the house of theirs. All of a sudden the noises become louder and clues are given to the indentity of a missing girl who has been missing for a couple of years. The ghost of that girl has come to haunt Claire and Norman and to even kill them.Weird things happen in the house pictures keep falling and doors keep opening. But the one thing that happens the most is the bath tub keeps filling up with hot water. Norman thinks its all a joke until he sees it for himself and does he know who that girl is? Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer play a good couple, and you jump so much that you feel like you have the hiccups. A must see movie!!
