Movie Review: Root For The Villian
Summary: 2 Stars
"The bullet went in his cheek and came out his jaw. It missed his brain, thank god." An example of the sloppy dialogue contained in the sloppy story of this well acted film. The morality contained herein is so idiotically simplistic that there was never hope for any dramatic tension. We Own The Night is a sterling example of your typical standardized Hollywood fare. It's a guys movie and worth the price of a cheap rental. For anyone reading this I did see something really good on cable last night, so just as long as you don't mind subtitles you definitely need to check out "13 TZAMETI". Give it a chance trust me. Movie Review: Loved every minute from start to finish!

I watched this movie last night on Blu-ray and loved every minute of it! The transfer was mind blowing on Blu-ray. The cast is great and does an excellent job in this one. I can't imagine anyone saying this movie is less than a five star rating. It is hands down one of the best I have seen in recent months and one of my new favorites! It is worth every cent I paid for it and will have a permanent spot in my library. Movie Review: Great Entertainment, Excellent Cast!

Joaquin Phoenix really gave it all with his great performance and so did Mark Wahlberg. I am not a Robert Duvall fan, but he was totally believable and loved him. Eva Mendes... not bad, but it just seemed a little too much in my opinion. The story line is rushed in a little and somewhat confusing at time, but overall very entertaining. Normally, I would not rate a gangster movie such as this one because I don't really like them and it wouldn't be fair for people who loves them, but this one I can sincerely say that I enjoyed it until the end.Movie Review: Great Direction, So So picture transfer

I have no HD DVD player so I had to buy DVD.
The picture is not that good knowing that it is HD telecine DVD.
The movie. I saw it at the theater and again this movie makes my heart beat. The car chase scene. And actors are incredible. The ending seems a little bit loose.
Movie Review: A Disappointment
Summary: 2 Stars
This was a very disappointing film. The actors involved are all very good, and Phoenix and Duvall have been excellent in roles previously; however, the actors got lost in a predictable and boring plot. There really were not any new ideas here. This is a 2 1/2 star film. It is okay to watch, just don't expect to be impressed.
