Movie Reviews of Wayne's World

Movie Review: If She Were A President She'd Be Baberoham Lincoln
Summary: 5 Stars

To put shortly this movie is much better than any of the Austin Powers movies. It's comic genius man, and its excellent. In this one part Garth and Wayne are all like playing hockey in a street right, and these cars like keep coming around right, so they have to keep moving their net off the street. Then this ex-girlfriend of Wayne's is like riding on a bike distracted by Wayne and hits a parked car. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That part was so funny and I shook the house and flew through a window but got back up and gave a thumbs up because I was still feeling good because I was watching a great movie. Rob Lowe is all evil, because he wants Wayne's girlfriend right, and Wayne wants to keep her but Rob Lowe is really cunning. Garth is a real big nerd and has a problem asking out women, because well he is a nerd. Then Foxy Lady starts playing in this Garth dream sequence and Garth starts dancing and HAHAHAHA its to funny to go any further but I'll keep trying. Garth starts dancing all nerdy and stuff and doing devil horns and swaying around like he's a cool dude, even though he's not.

This movie is better than the Austin Powers' series for one reason alone, witty pop culture references. Whether Terminator 2 or Scooby Doo they show genuine knowledge and understanding in the flaws of other movies. Whether it be the 'Oscar clip' sequence or the 'gratuitous sex scene' sequence. In short see this movie.

Movie Review: One of the 90's best comedies!
Summary: 5 Stars

Wayne Campbell(Mike Meyers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) are two bogus rock geeks that are the host of a popular UHF cable station show called "Wayne's World", Ben Oliver (Rob Lowe) is a cable network executive that decides to make their public access show into a major TV show as it could give them great fortune and fame. Wayne falls for bodacious rock singer babe Casandra (Tia Carrea) and Garth falls for the girl of his dreams (Donna Dixon) at the Donut shop, unfortunately Ben wants to steal Cassandra from Wayne if he does not fail but will Wayne get his girl to help her career?

A most excellent and original comedy satire based on the popular SNL skit is one of the most popular cult comedies around. The film offers appearences by Ed O'Neil, Alice Cooper, Chris Farley and T2's Robert Patrick and some hilarious gags like Garth's dorkiness especially about Bugs Bunny and the pokes at product placement & pop culture alike. Tia Carrera has never been this much gorgeous before and the film has so many memorable quotes that comedy film fans will remember for a long time, this movie always puts a smile on my face and is a must see comedy that made Mike Meyers into one of America's best comedy actors.

This DVD contains great picture and sound with some enjoyable extras like audio commentary from the director, theatrical trailer and Exclusive interviews with the cast and crew.

Movie Review: Awful... Not
Summary: 5 Stars

Based on the popular "Saturday Night Live" sketch, 1991's "Wayne's World" is the funniest movie I've ever seen. I don't remember going longer than 20 seconds without even smirking. The "Bohemian Rhapsody" sequence is worth the price of the film alone, but it's an altogether hilarious effort.

Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers in his breakthrough film role) and Garth (Dana Carvey) host their own cabel access show in Aurora, Illinois. One night, a sleazy tv exec Benjamin (Rob Lowe) catches their show and gets video arcade honcho Noah Vanderhoff (Brian Doyle Murray) to sponsor it. Wayne and Garth agree to sign the contracts and broadcast the show nationally. They indeed reap the pleasures of fame - baxkstage passes to meet Alice Cooper, $5, 000, 000 plus Wayne winning the affections of robobabe Cassandra (Tia Carrerre). But soon, things go awry. Wayne loses Garth and Cassandra, and his show's cancelled. What could possibly make it worse? Find out in this hilarious comedy romp.

This has proved to be the only good movie based on an "SNL" sketch. It's sad to se that so much of Dana Carvey's talent is in this film, because it's a shame that all of his subsequent efforts tanked ("Master Of Disguise", anyone?). The extras included trailer and a nice documnetary.

Movie Review: A Classic
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie never gets old. I first saw this movie when I was about 10 years old and only laughed at certain parts because I didn't understand most of it. But even then it was hilarious to me. But then once I saw it and understood more of the jokes I couldn't stop laughing. This movie is he funniest SNL spin-off yet. Actually to think of it, it's the only good one. This movie is so funny it's hard to only watch it once. But for those who have not seen it yet: It is somewhat different from the SNL skits. Those who may think that this movie is "stupid humor" or filled with mainly sex jokes like the SNL skits, you will be sadly dissapointed. This movie's humor mainly comes from random things just popping up. But yet it still has its fair chare of "babe" jokes as it did on SNL. But it is definatly not stupid humor like a Chris Farely/David Spade movie or an Adam Sandler movie. It is more of an "inside joke" movie that you will laugh even more when watching it and reciting the lines with friends. I own this movie on VHS and DVD. Its an instant classic. Buy it.

"Wayne's World" runs for about 90 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for some sexual humor, some alcohol abuse, and language.

Movie Review: Wayne's World is the Best Movie Ever
Summary: 5 Stars

Wayne's World, in my mind, will always be one of the greatest movies ever! The movie is about two guys (Wayne and Garth) who live in a small town in Illinois and who have their own public access television show called, "Wayne's World". They get an offer from young television producer to put the show on regular television with the help of a sponser. Wayne falls in love with a hot rockstar named Cassandra. The movie pretty much just goes on the show how their new producer, who also signed Cassandra to a record deal, tries to steal Cassandra away from Wayne.
The who movie is histarical from beginning to end. Wayne makes a great main character because he is easy to relate to and always speaks his mind. Garth is his sidekick who doesn't say much, but when he does it's something original. The best parts of the movie take place during their every day lives, and they come up with many creative and hilarious lines.
