Movie Review: Good movie
Summary: 4 Stars
Interesting idea, our world covered by endless oceans due to global warming. People somehow surviving in a world like that. A few flaws, like wooden boats and towns ... where's the trees? But still beautiful underwater scenes.
Kevin is his normal Quiet Hero self, and Dennis Hopper is hilarious as the villian. A good movie that got horrible reviews that it didn't deserve. Well worth watching.

No extras - not even the trailor.
I was hoping this release would include the alternate cut with extra footage and showing the Mount Everest marker plate.
Picture quality is pretty good but not a touch on the HD release of "The Searchers".
Movie Review: Beware: HD DVD can ONLY be played on an HD player

As the title states this DVD can only be played on a special player. Therefore, it was useless to me. My fault. I didn't realize that when I bought it. I thought it was like watching HD television, if you don't have that service, it's just not as clear. I was wrong. An HD DVD REQUIRES and HD player.
I LOVE this movie which is why I was looking for a copy for my library.

This is the first HDD DV that I've ordered and it doesn't work in any of the 4 DVD players that I have. The website for upgrading the DVD players software is no longer available and I'm at a loss as to whether it's the DVD or the players. It's more of a bother to send the DVD back than to just chuck it.
