Movie Review: Van Damme's best to date...
Summary: 5 Stars
Van Damme does his best acting ever in this movie. He shows real emotion while at the same time being a tough guy. This is what makes this movie shine among his other films, that he *can* act despite his accent. The action and violence in this movie is great. The torture scene gave me cringes. I've always thought about someone using a drill as a torture device, but it's never really been done to the extreme until now. It was refreshing to see a movie that didn't get too hokey, especially for a Van Damme movie. If you're a Van Damme you'll definitely want to see this one. If you thought Vandamme can't act, think again my friends. This is absolutely a fantastic movie That Needs not a Vandamme fan to be enjoyed. Let me say that i was totally blown away by Wake of Death! The movie Has a very artistic style to it. Jean-Claude Vandamme's acting is superb and without a doubt the best job of his whole career. Fantastic Stunts and special effects in the movie are completely convincing and it appears to have a nice budget. Vandamme surely shows he is worthy of a return to theaters! Way to go Vandamme! This movie was pretty good. If you are a big fan like me, you'll enjoy it. All the emotion he poured into this movie can be deeply felt. If you have a family it hits you harder. You know the heartbreak & the rage you would feel, holding your dead spouse in your arms & wondering what happened to your child.
Van Damme is a different kind of actor, but a good one. Different is good & so was this movie. Not to mention that he's in exellent shape for a 44 yr. old. Looking forward to more movies.

Don't no why this movie made it to theaters but I really like it. For those who said that Jean-Claude Van Damme can't act, they are wrong. This movie is very emotional if you have a family, you can see his pain and suffer when his wife got kill then the revenge was well deserve for the bad guys.
To me this movie is one of the best for Jean-Claude Van Damme.
