Movie Review: Let the Bodies Hit the Floor - 4.5 Stars Summary: 5 Stars
SummerSlam 2001 was a very good PPV.Edge vs. Lance Storm- Very good action. This was back when Lance Storm had a lot of heat, before they started to bury him. Spike and the APA vs. Test and The Dudley Boyz- Good match, Spike always takes big bumps Tajiri vs. X-Pac - before they buried Tajiri, back when he was hot. ... a good match. Rhyno vs. Jericho- Jericho slipped on the ropes a couple of times, but still good. DDP and Kanyon vs. The Undertaker and Kane- A squash match, not that good, but what you expect. RVD and Jeff Hardy- Best match of the PPV. RVD missed one spot but, that was an impossible spot with a very high level of difficulty, so it didn't hurt the match at all. Great match. Much props to both men. Booker T vs. The Rock- good match, Rock has a lot of electricity, and Booker still had heat for the match. Stone Cold vs. Angle- This was a great match. Good chemistry between the two. Weak ending hurts, but not too much. Bonus Feature - Extra Length Austin Appreciation Day from Raw - very good feature, see Austin develop his "What, What, What" chant. And see the Alliance looking like clowns. Overall a very good PPV, call me crazy but I call it the best of the year.
Movie Review: One of the best of 2K1's WWF PPV's Summary: 5 Stars
The 2001 edition of the annual WWF summer classic had its fair share of classic matches and moments, all of which culminate in this DVD which is definitely worth your time. First and foremost is the headline encounter between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle. This is a five-star match, which features a lot of varying styles and tells a spectacular story. Kurt Angle kicks out of three (!) Stone Cold Stunners en route to a DQ victory. The other headlining match, The Rock vs. Booker T, also had a great buildup and story. These two young guns deliver the goods in this WCW title fight. The Rob Van Dam-Jeff Hardy rivalry reaches its climax at this PPV, which began at Invasion when RVD dethroned Jeff Hardy of the Hardcore title. The two have an outstanding ladder match, and includes a hilarious moment when RVD misses a critical spot. Edge vs. Lance Storm also ranks as one of the best opening match-ups in WWF history and one of the better technical matches of recent memory. This DVD is outstanding evidence of the WWF's mid-2001 resurgence.
Movie Review: Spectacular! Summary: 5 Stars
This has been one of the best if not the best ppv of the year... I sure thought it was better than Wrestlemania... matches included Ladder Match RVD vs. Jeff Hardy(show stealer), Kurt Angle vs. Stone Cold, The Rock vs. Booker T, Plus Taker tought DDP his lesson once and for all in a CAGE MATCH.. and many more great matches. Did I forget to say that Stephanie McMahon was wearing some short, shorts! and she gets smooched on by non other than Y2J who took on RHYNO in another great match up... I was there in person and trust me it was Great... I sat 3rows from the ring!*Extra features include: Women's Match on HeAT this match was right before the PPV. Undertaker and Kane are interviewed as well as Booker T & Shane O Mac. Austin Appreciation Night along with the alliances version of "Wind Beneath My Wings" Renamed to "Wind beneath our ring" led by the beautiful Stephanie McMahon, Shortly after the song KURT ANGLE comes out in a MILK TRUCK! And Hoses the alliance down!!! HILARIOUS!
