Movie Review: WWE Wrestlemania 19 Review
Summary: 5 Stars

Wrestlemania 19:

1. Matt Hardy(c)vs Rey Mysterio Crusiweight title: Good way to kick off the show, some good high moves from both guys, could of had a better ending but match was good but short **3/4

2. Undertaker vs A-Train/Big show: This was mean't to be a tag match but nathan jones got injured, this was watchable and that is being nice, dont like it how taker got dominated the whole match, good ending **

3.Worlds Greatest Tag Team(c)vs Chris Benoit/Rhyno vs Los Guerreos WWE Tag team titles: This was a good match, some great moves, great counters, sort of slow at the start but picked up at the end ***1/4

4. Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels: What a Match! Really good stuff from both men, great counters, great moves, near falls, this match had everything, I loved it! The ending was out of nowhere but this is memeroble and is match of the night by a mile ****3/4

5.Triple H(c)vs Booker T WH Title: This is really underatted, I like this match, the pace was slow but the moves perfromed in this match were awesome, triple h hits and indian deathlock which was cool to see because that used to be his finisher in WCW backin 1993 ***1/4

6. Vince Mcmahon vs Hulk Hogan Street Fight Match: Wow this was brutal, with some good spots, like a legdrop off the ladder through a table and it was great to see roddy piper, lots of blood and the crowd was really into this one ***1/2

7. The Rock vs Steve Austin: This match was great, a lot of finishers, crowd was into this one, not the best match out of their series but not the worst, great match and it was agiven a lot of time, I really enjoyed this one ****1/4

8. Kurt Angle(c)vs Brock Lesnar WWE Title: What a brilliant main event, lots of suplexes, an amazing mat wrestling match, match went on for the perfect amount of time, we all remember the sick ending and botch form lesnar, overall a really good match to end a brilliant show ****1/2

Overall PPV: 10/10

Movie Review: My favourite PPV
Summary: 5 Stars

This is very much a personal opinion, but I would rate this as my favourite Wrestlemania and PPV, ever. Some justification is needed, especially as it occurred during an especially low-point period in WWE's fortunes, and it had Nathan Jones on the card. Well, the main event was one of the greatest in Wrestlemania history, as Angle and Lesnar really tore the house down with some great wrestling and storytelling, as well as a blown spot that makes me smile. Next (the main reason why this is my favourite PPV) is Rock vs. Austin. It was the 3rd match of theirs at Wrestlemania, and instead of being overkill, this match, in my mind, trumps their other two great matches. The match combined wrestling with entertainment so fluidly I was entranced. Coupled with this being Austin's last match and the very real drama surrounding it, it is just enthralling entertainment. Hogan and McMahon had every reason to be as bad as the worst match in history, but there was some good spots and they weren't horribly slow. Plus it was full of surprises, as well as having good build-up. Booker and HHH was solid, kind of boring, but it delivered as the fourth match from the main event. Michaels and Jericho almost stole the show, and perhaps did, it was that good. Just some great wrestling from two premier athletes. Undertaker's match most hate, but I didn't mind seeing him battle two behemoths as it presented an interesting story, and Nathan Jones' was limited. The women's match was the best women's match in history, nuff said. The tag match was of course, great, as it's participants included Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Charlie Haas, and Shelton Benjamin. Finally, the first match on the card could have been seen on Smackdown, with Hardy vs. Mysterio, but for an opener, it wasn't too bad, just a little short. Simply, this PPV had no awful matches, many great ones, and had a lot of intruige surrounding it (watch The Mania of Wrestlemania to greater appreciate this event and the sacrifices made by some wrestlers, such as Angle, Lesnar, and Austin).

Movie Review: Second Greatest PPV Ever
Summary: 5 Stars

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio
Great to see this title at the biggest show. What a great match! Perfect opener. Don't blink.

Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train
Not bad. A little slow but Taker actually carries both men. Made exciting by Taker's streak.

Triple Threat Match for the Women's Championship
Victoria vs. Jazz vs. Trish Stratus
This has to be the best women's match of all time. A surprisingly fluent match with great moves and genuine excitement.

WWE Tag Team Championship
Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Chris Benoit & Rhyno
Another great match! 5 of the 6 competitors in this match are world class pro wrestlers and they prove it in this one.

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
A dream match! An absolute classic and a fitting return to WM for HBK. One of the best matches of all time.

World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H vs. Booker T
Finally the Bookerman gets his due. A very good match that saw both men break out some moves that had been stowed away for a long time.

Street Fight 20 Years in the Making
Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon
You have to give it up to both men. Their age & real life feud could've made this terrible but no way. Superlative effort from both men. The video package before this is one of the best ever. Some very unexpected surprises in this too.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock
A fitting end to a great wrestling rivalry. This would be Austin's last match and really it is for The Rock too. A lot of real emotion in this match and you could see it on their faces. A classic.

WWE Championship
Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar
Predictable but wow! A top 5 WM main event. Lots of great wrestling and a great finish and of course Brock's now infamous near death experience. Angle was also very close to serious injury which just adds to the drama.

Movie Review: Good Wrestlemania, Great DVD!!
Summary: 5 Stars

When I think back on all the WWE shows that I have seen, Wrestlemania 19 definately comes to mind. As far as the PPV itself goes, the card was well rounded for the most part. For those fans who are interested in the classic technical side of wrestling, you cannot go wrong with Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho. This had to be one of the best matches I have ever seen period. Another match that falls under the technical category would be the main event between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle. Both are very skilled mat technicians and Brock put on a good performance despite the fact that he is a big guy. He is very agile for his size. For those fans who want to see an all out brawl, Hulk Hogan vs Vince McManon and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock are guaranteed to make you happy. Hulk Hogan and Vince both put on great performances. I was very suprised too, because they usually can't wrestle their way out of a paper bag. This match made me gain a lot of respect for Vince, because you have got to admire the owner of the company actually getting involved and trying to entertain the fans. The WWE Tag Team championship match featuring Team Angle, Los Guerreros, and Chris Benoit/Rhyno was an all around good match. Perhaps the most underated match of the night was Triple H vs Booker T.

Having 6 good matches out of 9 possible is pretty good by WWE standards. Most WWE shows feature a few good matches combined with a majority of average matches. That is why I consider Wrestlemania 19 to be well rounded. However, the reason why I gave a 5 star rating, is because of the DVD itself. The WWE actually put out a DVD with great extras. They include Goldberg's debut on RAW the night after Wrestlemania, Vince Mcmanon training vignettes, 10 stars talking about their favorite Wrestlemania moments, post match interviews and more.

If you are a fan of the WWE, there is no way you can pass this up. The excellent Wrestlemania and the outstanding extras make this a must own.

A solid 5 stars...
