Movie Reviews of WWE: WrestleMania XIX

Movie Review: Wrestlemania 19....a classic
Summary: 5 Stars

1. Cruiserweight Title: Rey Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy: A good match with some nice high-flying moves. The only problem was that it was too short and the match finished with Matt using the ropes on a roll-up. Rey should've won considering it was wrestlemania. 8/10

2. Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train: A good batlle of big men Undertaker should've been in a bigger match but it was still good. Taker was still dominant even though he was facing two bigger men. Limp Bizkit sings Taker out to the ring with "Rollin". 8.5/10

3. Womens Title Triple Threat: Trish vs. Lita vs. Jazz: One of very few womens matches I actually take intrest in. If WWE was all women, this would be a classic match. In actuall rating, its about as good as the opener. Trish wins via chick kick. 7/10

4. WWE Tag Team Title: Team Angle vs. Los Gurreros vs. Rhyno & Benoit: A good tag match with some great talent in it. I think it could've been better but it was still good. The ending was great, with several finishers. 8.5/10

5. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho: Match of The Night!!!!! A classic match with amazing athletisism. Michaels and Jericho have great chemistry. Awe-Inspiring. Tons of near falls and finishers. If you buy this DVD, then this match will be a great gain. 10/10

6. World Title: Triple H vs. Booker T: A good match to say the least. Some really cool moves. When Booker is in control, the match is more entetaining. Except for the part when HHH does the indian death lock which is suprising. 9/10

7. Street Fight: Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon: A shockingly bloody match in which if Hulkster loses, he leaves wwe. The two beat each other with chairs until they are both bleeding. Then, Vince does a huge leg drop off a ladder through the announce table on hogan. Hogan has the match won but Piper makes a surprise appearance and hits Hogan with a led pipe. Hogan still wins though. Bloody match. 10/10

8. The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin: Not as good as their Wrestlemania 17 match but better than their Wrestlemania 15 match. Austin's last match. A great match to say the least i guess. Lots of finishers and several near falls. 9/10

9. WWE title: Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle: Great match. Main event worthy. The two greatest athletes in wwe beat the hell out of each other. Both of them get injuries. Brock almost kills himself because he tries a Shooting Star Press and lands on his head! Great match. Brock wins. 9.5/10

Extras include the entire Wrestlemania 3rd degree program, the press conference in New York and the one in Seattle, th world tag team title match Kane & Rvd vs. Cheif Morley & Lance Storm from HEAT, Post Match Interviews, 10 Wrestlemania Retros where superstars talk about their favorote moments, Wrestlemaina Features, Comments on Hogan vs. McMahon, two commercials one titled "Image Spot" and the other "4 Main Events"!, the three catfight girl commercials, the mcmahon training promos, and the entire segment where goldberg made his debut the following night!

Movie Review: In terms of wrestling this is the best!
Summary: 5 Stars

In Terms of Pure wrestling this was the best WM ever!
But in terms of Pure Sports entertainment it was WM 17.

Sunday Night match
World Tag Team Championship Match
RVD and Kane Vs. Lance Storm and Cheif Morley
This was a goodtagteam match with a bad ending (do they seriously think we would belive that RVD cant kick out of a elbow drop?

Opening Match
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Matt Hardy Vs. Rey Mysterio
This was a Very good opening match. It was very fast paced and god the crowd pumped up for the rest of the night.

Handicap Match
The Undertaker Vs. A-Train and Big Show
A fairly Good Match. This was propably the worst match of the night but was still pretty good.

WWE Womens Championship Match
Trish Stratus Vs. Victoria Vs. Jazz
There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best Womens championship match in the hsitory of WM.
All three put on a hell of a performance and so does Steven richards lol.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Chris Benoit and Rhyno Vs. Team Angle Vs. Los Guererros
A great tag Team Match. It could have been much longer but sadly was not. We saw some great moves put out by all 6 but if it was longer could have been a match of the night contender which is saying alot.

Chris Jericho Vs. 'HBK' Shawn Michaels
An absolute gem of a match. This match told an excellent story and was my match of the night and maybe match of the year! Both men put on an excellent performance.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Booker T Vs. Triple H
This was match was focused soley on Ring psychology. I really like this match because of all the ring psychology. It was a very psyichally intense match and again both men put on a great performance.

Street Fight '20 years in the making'
Vince McMahon vs. Hulk Hogan
This was a great match from 2 men both North of 50. It fetured Vince McMahon doing a leg drop from the top of a ladder thorugh an announce table!!!! It also featured the return of WWE legend and soon to be WWE hall of famer 'Rowdy' Roddy piper. This was a huge shock to everyone as it was not documented on any wrestling sites and came out of nowhere! A WM classic!

The Rock Vs. Stone Cold SSteve Austin
Does this Wrestlemanai ever stop with the classic matches? Here is another one! I did not find this as good as their last encounter @ Wrestlemania 17 but this was a fantastic display!!! This was SCSA last match and he recieved a Standing O' after the match.

WWE Championship Match
Brock Lesnar Vs. Kurt Angle
This Match almost didnt take place! Kurt Anlge needed Neck surgery and this match was almost cancelled! The Rumlurs where at the time that Chris Benoit would take Kurts place going into Mania with the title to defend against Brock, but kurt said he could go. This was a Excellent main Event to top of a Excellent show.
Be sure to look out for Brocks messed up SSP!

Movie Review: 20 years well worth the wait for Hogan/McMahon
Summary: 5 Stars

20 years well worth the wait for Hogan/McMahon

The match that took two decades to materialize stole the show at WrestleMania XIX. Although the odds were stacked against him thanks to some outside help, Hulk Hogan pinned his longtime arch rival at SAFECO Field.

Mr. McMahon and the Hulkster beat each other into a bloody match in this brutal Street Fight. The tide seemed to have swung permanently in the WWE Chairman's favor once someone from the crowd leapt into the ring. That person turned out to be none other than Rowdy Roddy Piper! Piper appeared ready to clock Vince with a steel pipe, but he instead walloped Hogan! Piper left the scene while Vince struggled to cover his fallen enemy. But somehow, Hogan managed to kick out! Not only did he regain his feet, but Hogan got even stronger! A leg drop took the wind out of Mr. McMahon and kept Hulkamania running wild.

A new WWE Champion was crowned, but Brock Lesnar definitely had to sweat to earn the gold he now wears around his waist. Kurt Angle kicked out after absorbing two F-5s from Lesnar, and avoided an amazing Shooting Star Press from Lesnar that would have meant certain defeat. He only delayed his fate, though, as Lesnar gathered Angle up for an F-5 that sealed the deal.

It took three attempts, but The Rock finally managed to get a win over Stone Cold Steve Austin under WrestleMania's spotlight. The Great One devastated the Texas Rattlesnake with three Rock Bottoms to achieve the one feat that remained in his career.

The Undertaker improved his WrestleMania record to a perfect 11-0, but it was far from easy. Originally scheduled to take on Big Show and A-Train in a tag team match, Taker ended up in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match when his massive opponents took Nathan Jones out the equation with a vicious attack. Nevertheless, Jones managed to get himself together and help even the score by taking Big Show down with a spinning heel kick! Taker gathered up A-Train for a Tombstone piledriver to get the pinfall and stay perfect.

Making his first appearance on the WrestleMania card in five years, Shawn Michaels showed he's as good as ever by defeating Chris Jericho. But it was no easy task for the Heartbreak Kid. HBK had to struggle several times to grab the ring ropes to break Y2J's Walls of Jericho. Michaels managed to put Jericho away after a quick rollup caught him off guard.

Trish Stratus regained the WWE Women's Championship by pinning Victoria in a Triple Threat Match that also included Jazz. Matt Hardy, Triple H and Team Angle were each able to hold onto their respective titles.

Match results
Matt Hardy def. Rey Mysterio
The Undertaker def. A-Train & Big Show
Trish Stratus def. Jazz and Victoria to win the Women's Championship
Team Angle def. Los Guerreros and Rhyno & Chris Benoit
Shawn Michaels def. Chris Jericho
Triple H def. Booker T
Hulk Hogan def. Mr. McMahon
The Rock def. Stone Cold
Brock Lesnar def. Kurt Angle

Movie Review: WRESTLEMANIA XIX
Summary: 5 Stars

WOW! What can I say about Wrestlemania XIX. I was there at Safeco Field in Seattle Washington. I was one of those 54,097 fans on hand to witness one of the greatest events of all time. I'll be honest with you, it was not as good as Wrestlemania X-Seven but it surpassed last years.

Ashanti kicks it off with a wonderful singing of America the Beautiful.

Rey Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy- This was a ok match. I love Rey and I think Matt is a great talent. I wished it was more of a faster pace and high flying action. It was a good match though. 3/5

Limp Bizkit performs Rollin the Undertakers Entrance

Undertake and Nathan Jones vs. A-Train and Big Show- I wished that Nathan was not taken out by Big Show and A-Train earlier on HEAT. I was looking forward to his debut. This was pretty much a handicap match with the Undertaker carrying both Train and Show. 3/5

Trish vs. Jazz vs. Victoria- It was a lot like the womens title match at Wrestlemania X8. It was good but not great. It had the makings to be the best womens title match ever but it wasn't. Still it was good. 3.5/5

Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Benoit/Rhyno- This also had the makings of being one great tag title match. Some how it just didn't flow right. I'm not sure what it was. I believe Benoit deserved a better match for all that he has done. 3/5

HBK vs. Y2J- This was a great match. One of Jericho's best as well as one of HBK's best. Great match. Lots of high flying action and many pinfalls and close decisions. HBK prooves that he can still hang in the WWE.

Limp Bizkit performs the Wrestlemania Them Song

HHH vs. Booker T- This was probably the worst match of the night. The crowd was not in to it that much, and it was a horrible ending. And plus no "SPINAROONI". 2/5

I am not sure of this was a real match. It was the cat fight between the Miller light Cat Fight Girls and Stacy and Torrie. It was great. Really funny ending.

Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon- What a match. It was bloody. It was Brutal. It was all that it lived up to be. One of Hulks greatest matches. Vince and Hogan had a real war here. Rowdy Roddy Piper makes a special guest appearance in this match too. It was awesom. 5/5

The Rock vs. Austin- I love this rivalry. This has always been my favorite rivialry in the WWE. This match was better than there encounter at Wrestlemania XV but probably not as good than the blood bath they had and Wrestlemania X-Seven. Still it was an awesome match. Probably my favorite match of the night. 5/5

Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle- Unlike the Raw world title match between HHH and Booker T, this match surely delivered. The most talked about moment of the match had to have been Brock's Shooting Star Press off the top rope that missed. It looked like a car reck when you were there live. Great Match though. 5/5

Wrestlemania XIX in Seattle Washington was a great event. It showcased great matches and many celebrities. This is one of the Greatest events of all time.

Movie Review: One of the greatest of all time!
Summary: 5 Stars

A great wrestlemania and ranks up in the top wrestlemanias of all time. Here is a list of the matches:

1)Cruiserweight Championship
Mysterio vs Hardy(C)
A great high flying match by both of these men. Hardy did a good job with the enigma called Rey Mysterio Jr,and Hardy did a good job of countering the high flying skills of Mysterio. A screw job at the end towards Mysterio. 6/10

2) UnderTaker vs Big Show & A Train
Good match by Taker, getting his streak up to 11-0.Big Show seemed to put no effort into this match.7/10

3)women's championship
Trish vs jazz vs victoria
A good womens match up. Trish as the victor. 5/10

4)WWE tag team championships
Team Angle vs Los Guerrero's vs Chris Benoit and Rhyno
A great tag team match up. Benoit and Guerrero really show their stuff, and prove why they were victorious at wrestlemania 20. Team Angle won with some sneaky tactics. 8.5/10

5)Shawn Michaels vs Chris "Y2J" Jericho
An amazing contest by two of the greatest in the business. Jericho shows why he was the first undisputed champion, and Shawn Micheals showed why he is the showstoppa.I predicted HBK to win because this was his first wrestlemania in 5 years. An amazing match between these two and one of the greatest matches ever in my book. 10/10

6)World Heavyweight Championship
HHH vs Booker T
Booker T is an incredible athlete with a good chance of becoming the champion soon. Triple H is probably one of the greatest champions to ever be in a ring. This match was highly expected to be a classic but ended being a dud. These two have no chemistry together. I give this a 7.5/10

7) Street Fight
Hogan vs Mcmahon
Not a very good wrestling match but very entertaining match. This match had probably one of the best background stories I have ever seen. I give this a 5/10

8)Stone Cold vs The Rock
A great match up by these two. This was the last match Stone Cold was ever in.The Rock was phenomenol in this match up delivering 3 ROCK BOTTOMS to Stone Cold. Austin showed alot of heart and kicked out of 2 rock bottoms before toppiling to the third. 10/10

9)WWE Championship
Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar
Kurt Angle is the only olympic gold medalist ever, Brock Lesnar is a two time national champion. When you add these things together you get a wrestlemania main event. These two men show why they are so dominant in the wrestling circles. Brock Lesnar gave it his all in this match trying a shooting star press, almost unheard of by a near three hundred pounder. An awesome main event, and incredible effort by both of these men. 10/10

A great wrestlemania and it was an incredible card.
