Movie Reviews of WWE: WrestleMania XIXMovie Review: Definitely a toss up with X-Seven for the Greatest Ever! Summary: 5 Stars
Wrestlemania XIX was just a tremendous event. Some say Wrestlemania X-Seven is arguably the greatest Wrestlemania ever and this Wrestlemania is the reason for the arguably part. This Wrestlemania was solid from top to bottom from beginning to end. Not a single dud or a bad match on here whatsoever. To believe it or not, to me the downside to this Wrestlemania were those stupid MillerLite catfight girls and the Torrie Wilson & Stacy Kiebler segements throughout the event leading up their little bed pillow fight. Besides them an Awesome event.
1. Cruiserweight Championship
Matt Hardy w/ Shannon Moore vs. Rey Mysterio
Very fast paced match up here. Lots of interference from Moore though. Some other reviewers have said that this match was short; I think it was given a good amount of time. It did its job to pump up the crowd for the night. Very good opener. 4/5
2. Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train
Not a bad match at all. It really got exciting in the beginning with Taker hitting the chokeslam in the early going and just doing his business all over Train and Big Show. Show and Train would take some cheap shots to Taker throughout the match due to the 2 on 1 advantage. Nathan Jones would come out and give Show a wicked spinning kick to take him out. Decent match up and it had a good ending(11-0). 3.5/5
3. Women's Championship
Jazz vs. Trish Stratus vs. Victoria w/ Steven Richards
The women delivered on this night. Some pretty good spots. Victoria and Jazz would try to double team Trish but their egoes would soon get in the way. Richards added some humor to the match. Pretty fine women's match. Very watchable. 3.5/5
4. WWE Tag Team Championship
Los Guererros vs. Team Angle vs. Chris Benoit & Rhyno
Nice tag team title match. Benoit & Eddie put on a great showing when they were in the ring together. There was some nice double team moves by Team Angle. The 3rd team really added more to the match. Rhyno hit some sickening gores in this one too. It had a sneaky ending but it all worked out good. 3.5/5
5. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
Phenomenal match right here. Jericho & Michaels make a great pairing in the ring together. Jericho would start working on Michael's back after applying the walls of Jericho on the outside and then just punishing Michaels' back. There were some nice counters and some good wrestling. Jericho would try to top Michaels at some points in the match by doing his moves. It had a very good ending as well, I thought it fitted in just good. Match of the night for sure. Another Wrestlemania classic match up. 5/5
6. World Heavyweight Championship
Booker T vs. Triple H w/ Ric Flair
Some people really forgets about how good of a match this was. I thought this match was very good and I felt it was Wrestlemania material. Booker to me really had to prove himself in this match I thought. He really gave Hunter a run for his money in this one. There were some good brawling and some good wrestling holds. Hunter would work on Booker's leg and even applying the old school indian death lock on Booker which was very cool to see. Booker even added some high risk to the match. A very good forgotten match up right here, you will see what I mean when you watch it. 4.5/5
7. Street Fight
Mr. McMahon vs. Hulk Hogan
This was a fight many people have been waiting to see after when Hogan went to the WCW back in '93. McMahon would work on Hogan's arm in the beginning. The match was very brutal and very personal. Not a lot a weapons used but this was really just a good old fashion fight. This is possibably McMahon's best match in his career. You even get a suprise appeareance as well. A very insane, violent, brutal, personal match. 4/5
8. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock
In my opinion, being the third encounter at Wrestlemania between Rock & Austin, this was the most personal out of the three. It started out very intense and fierce. It had some good brawling and hard shots on the outside. There were some very nice counters too. Rock works on Austin's leg briefly but not that whole much. The Rock hit some very hard impact Rock Bottoms to Austin in this one. I felt the macth was a little more on the entertainment side than the wrestling side but it still was a very great match. Defiantly the last time you will ever see these two in the ring against one another and they put on a very good showing. 4.5/5
9. WWE Championship
Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar
Some say their SummerSlam match was better than this one, I disagree with that. I believe this match was the best between the two. It had a better feel and hype to it to me. There was some good suplexes and reversals. Some nice impact moves and some solid wrestling. Lesnar trys to go for a shooting star but crashes and burn and it looked like it broke Lesnar's nose. Angle also suffers a broken neck. Angle did an unbeliveable job to fight through the injury and especially after he suffer's three F5s. A great main event. Very worthy of being in any Wrestlemania. Fantastic match, you can't ask for anything else from this one. 5/5
Wrestlemania XIX really went surpass the hype. An awesome event, I defiantly recommend in owning this one.
Movie Review: 2nd Best Wrestlemania Summary: 5 Stars
I have been a wrestling fan since 1996 and have watched all kinds of wrestling. I have a wrestling DVD/VHS collection spanning over 50 all together. This is the most complete and accurate review of this DVD you will find. I hope you find this review helpful; remember to vote helpful or not helpful.(Note-Each DVD I review has a "Match of the DVD" award somewhere in it.)
Wrestlemania XIX
This event was amazing from top to bottom. The staging and extremely long ramp are cool. This is probably one of the best Wrestlemania's you could buy. It was almost perfect. Buy this as soon as you can.
Disc 1
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Matt Hardy(c) w/Shannon Moore VS Rey Mysterio
Great Opener. This match gets you excited for the rest of the event. There is a lot of highflying action including: corkscrew moonsaults, Splash Mountain Bombs to Hurricanrunnas, and much more. This is one of the best openers I've ever seen.
RATING-9/10
Betweens these two matches, Limp Bizkit performs "Rollin".
Handicap Match
Undertaker VS Big Show & A-Train
This match was originally a tag match that consisted of Undertaker teaming with Nathan Jones. Nathan Jones was attacked by Show and A-Train (with the help of Nunzio) and could not compete in the event. The match is pretty solid which I honestly didn't expect. Nathan Jones makes an appearance near the end and deals out a nice spin kick.
RATING-7/10
Triple-Threat- Women's Championship
Victoria(c) w/ Steven Richards VS Trish Stratus VS Jazz
There aren't really a lot of really good women's matches in WWE. This match is awesome though. Victoria does a cool moonsault. Jazz uses her power to control most of the match. The ending seemed a little weak though.
RATING-8.5/10
Triple-Threat Tag- WWE Tag Team Championship
Team Angle(c) VS Los Guerreros VS Rhyno & Benoit
Benoit returns to Wrestlemania after WWE WrestleMania X8 due to a broken neck. This is a solid match-up and keeps the action going well.
RATING-8/10
Shawn Michaels VS Chris Jericho
I might get a lot of hate for saying this, but this match is over rated constantly. It was a great match with a great storyline. The match wasn't that amazing though. I enjoyed it and I know everyone else will enjoy it, but don't get sucked into the hype machine or you will be let down. Still, the story is amazing and the match is great. It is just not a perfect 10.
RATING-9/10
Limp Bizkit performs "Crack Addict" between these two matches.
Pillow Fight
Catfight Girls VS Stacy Keibler VS Torrie Wilson
Somewhat funny but really not much here. No rating because it's not much of a match.
World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H(c) VS Booker T
I love this match. Triple H and Booker T use every move in their arsenal, even using some new moves. Triple H works over Booker's leg most of the match and Booker sells it very well. This match is very well done and you will love it.
RATING-9/10
Street Fight- 20 Years in the Making
Hulk Hogan VS Vince McMahon
This isn't the best street fight ever, not even Vince's best street fight, but it is still really good. There is a really good announcer table spot done by Vince. A lot of blood is shed in this match. There is also an appearance by another WWE legend near the end of the match.
RATING-8/10
Disc 2
Stone Cold Steve Austin VS The Rock(Match of the Night Award)
This match is amazing. A lot of brawling like the usual Austin/Rock confrontations. Finishers are used like crazy. What's funny is this isn't even there best match. They had matches at two other Wrestlemania's: WWE WrestleMania XV - The Ragin' Climax and WWE WrestleMania X-Seven.
RATING-9.5/10
WWE Championship
Kurt Angle VS Brock Lesnar
This is a very good match. Lots of suplexes and finishers. Slow-paced but the match works well that way. The ending is sickening and hard to watch, luckily Lesnar is okay. These two would go on to fight many more matches including their next one-on-one PPV match at WWE SummerSlam 2003.
RATING- 8/10

Movie Review: Rock/Austin, Hogan/McMahon, Angle/Lesnar, Booker/The Game, HBK/Y2J 5 Stars
This is perhaps the best Wrestlemania ever. I think its tied with Wrestlemania X8. WWE lost its best superstars of all time in the summer of 2002 til February 2003 the return of The Rock, Steve Austin & Hulk Hogan.
You got all the best in the WWE in this event of Wrestlemania XIX.
2 Amateur wrestlers in the Main Event of this Wrestlemania. Kurt Angle & Brock Lesnar, Both former NCCA Championship had made thid match a classic. The bad part of this match is Lesnar seems like he dont know what to do and delivers too much F-5s. And both men were injured towards the end of the match. Firset Lesnar missed a shooting-star press off the top rope. And Angle was injured from the last F-5 Lsnar deliver and win the WWE Championship from Kurt Angle. Both men shows respect after the match and made this night an memorable Wrestlemania.
On the other side, you got the seribal assassin Triple H the World Heavyweight Championship, the best in the business alive today against one of the best in the WWE the 5 Time World Heavyweight Champion Booker T. I was kinda of disappoint when Booker T lost this match cause I was expecting him to win and be the 6 Time World Heavyweight Champion. He really deserves the Championship belt and now he finally got it. I think Triple H should not beat Booker T this easy with just one Pedigree cause Booker tries so hard to win and The Nature Boy Ric Flair interrupts and distracts all the time and I expect more heart and courage of The BookMan.
One of the matches fans looking foward to is The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho. Since after the night HBK lost the World Title to The Game, Jericho started to targeted Shawn Michaels. Their feud crossed pass the Royal Rumble when Jericho jumped Shawn from behind and caused to be elimination. Later on Shawn came back and did the same. It continues towards No Way Out. HBK wasnt scheduled to have a match, but it was Jericho vs Jeff Hardy. Jericho got the win but Shawn got the last laugh. Now its on Wrestlemania HBK vs Y2J. It reminds me of those matches Shawn have in past. Shawn vs Razor, Bret, Jarrett, and others. Shawn got the win this time but Jericho has the last laugh this time. He low-blows Shawn and walk out of the ring. By the way, another classi match.
Now save the best 2 for last. First, Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs Mr. McMahon in Street Fight, 20 Years In The Making. I dont really knows the story in 1993. All I know is that Hogan jumps to WCW. But I dont know the outside of the WWE ring. In June of 2002 when Hogan & McMahon have words about Hogans gonna retire. McMahonsays he wanna challenged Hogan to a match. And we never see that match. I thought its gonna happened at Summerslam but not. When Hogan returns at February 2003 and McMahon came out and confronted Hogan, I knew it will happen in Wrestlemania and it did. Perhaps a 5 star classic match. The match was brutal and bloody. Both men bleeds thats awesome. Especially when McMahon deliver the legdrop top of the ladder. It was sweet. Then Piper made an appearance and I already knew hes gonna hit Hogan. Its common sense. And Hogan still runs wild and kick Vince and that referees @ss.
Now to the match I was most looking foward to. The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin 3. I wasnt expect to see this match happening in Wrestlemania 19. Cause The Rock was on Smackdown when he returns. I thoght Austins gonna face The Game at Wrestlemania cause both men were the worst enemies ever. But The Rock make a jump to Raw and confronted Austin after the night he beat Hogan at No Way Out. Oh thats another story. Back to Austin & Rock. Since that match was announced I was so excited to seeing it. Thats why I said it earlier its the match I was most looking foward. In the end it was the Rock whocame on top and beat Stone Cold 1,2,3. I was so proud of The Rock withouit any help, he finally beat Stone Cold for the first time. I think the past 2 matches between these 2 cant compared to this one. The second one from Wrestlemania 17 is an awesome match til McMahon came out. And Austin actually selling out to McMahon. I Hate That match.
I dont know which brand stole the show cause theres so many awesome matches. Other Matches here in Wrestlemania 19 are:
WWE Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match:
Team Angle vs Chris Benoit vs Los Guerrerros.
Its weird seeing Benoit & Guerrerro in a Tag Team Championship Match and one year later both men were the Champions.
The Undertaker vs Big Show & A-Train.
Everybody knows Taker won cause hes undefeated in Wrestlemania.
Womens Championship: Victoria vs Trish Stratus vs Jazz.
I never pay attention to match. Only to Trish. All you need to know is Trish wins.
WWE Crusiweight Championship: Matt Hardy vs Rey Mysterio.
Awesome opener. Shouldve been long. It will be better.
I relly recommend you to buy this video. It'll be great. See all the greats battle each other.
Movie Review: Best WrestleMania I have seen Summary: 5 Stars
This was the best WrestleMania I have seen. I have seen XIV, XV, 2000, X-Seven, and I was live at X8.I highly recommend you to get this DVD. The extras will most likely be pretty good, as usual with the WrestleMania DVDs. This card had 5 main event that each went a long time. Plus, the four undercard matches were also very good, although because the other 5 were so long, they went shorter than they should have. The set and the fact that this Mania was held at Safeco Field made it really unique. It had a lot of natural light that entered the field throughout the night, and as it got later, it got darker and the lighting (the lighting that was set up by the crew) got better. It just made it feel a lot different than a regular PPV. Here is the card with the times that each match went: The show opens with Ashanti singing "America the Beautiful" A video package about what Mania means to the superstars is shown. Pyro is done Matt Hardy beats Rey Mysterio in 6 minutes Limp Bizkit plays "Rollin" for the Undertaker and he beats A-Train and Big Show with the help of Nathan Jones in 10 minutes Trish beats Victoria and Jazz for the womens title in 7 1/2 minutes (this was a great women's match) Team angle retains their tag titles against los guerreros and rhyno & chris benoit in 8 1/2 minutes Shawn Michaels beats Chris Jericho in 22 minutes Limp Bizkit performs "Crack Addict" (I personally found this performance very enjoyable) The Miller Light Catfight Girls, Stacy Kiebler, and Torrie Wilson have a catfight, then "pants" The Coach Triple H retains world title against Booker T in 19m minutes Hogan beats Vince in a street fight in 21 minutes (Roddy Piper makes a special run-in) Rock beats Steve Austin in 18 minutes Brock Lesnar beats Kurt Angle for the WWE Title in 22 minutes. The courage showed by Angle in this match was tremendous. If you didn't know, he wrestled the match with a near broken neck. He wrestled with doctors orders not to and still his match was great. His neck problem is the same injury that had Steve Austin, Chris Benoit, Rhyno, Scotty Too Hotty, and most recently, Edge, out for a year. After the match, Brock and Angle shook hands and then hugged while fireworks lit up the arena. Great ending to the best PPV I have ever seen. Then, a video package recapping what happened at Mania is show. This is a really well done package, especially knowing the fact that they did it while the show was going on. All the matches and spots shown went with the music perfectly. The 5 main events were all great. Each was great in their own. Michaels Jericho was just a great wrestling match. Booker T vs. HHH was the best match HHH has had since his return from an injury in January 2002. Booker T pulls out a to rope flipping leg drop that was totally unexpected. Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon was just a brutal, bloody street fight and it had a lot of cool moments, including Roddy Piper coming out, and Vince jumping off a ladder and hitting a legdrop through the announce table. Austin vs. Rock was also very entertaining. It wasn't better than their match at WM X-Seven, but it was better than their one at XV. It was pretty intense and just a match that involves one of the biggest feuds of all time, Austin vs. Rock. Rock played the heel nicely in the match, putting on Austin's vest for nearly half of the match. Lesnar vs. Angle was also awesome. Watching it live on PPV was tough because I was afraid Angle was going to get seriously injured (he was risking death or paralysis). Watching the match after I knew it all went all right made it better. There is an awesome release German suplex on Lesnar where he flips totally over, and he also performed a shooting star press (however, he landed right on his head). If I were you, I would buy this DVD right now. It is the best Mania I have seen, beating out X-Seven which previously held the spot. Every match is good to great. There are also 5 great video packages about the 5 main events. The only downside is the catfight segment, which seemed somewhat pointless. Anyway, how can you go wrong with a PPV involving a roster like this. Here are all of the wrestlers that make an appearane (basically, a who's who of sports entertainments past, present, and future) Rey Mysterio, Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore, Undertaker, A-Train, Big Show, Jazz, Trish, Steven Richards, Victoria, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Rhyno, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Ric Flair, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, and finally, the best wrestler ever, Kurt Angle.
Movie Review: I was there the best wrestling event EVER!... Summary: 5 Stars
Wow I cant believe I was at Wrestlemania 19 in Seattle. It set an attendance record in Safeco field with 54,097 people and I think almost everyone was pleased. The matches were... 1)Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy (with Shannon Moore)- Although this match was way too short and the ending seemed to just come out of nowhere it was a great way to start off the show, and Mysterio is just awsome live. The moves were great but I was dissapointed with the end result- 7.5/10 2. Undertaker and Nathan Jones vs. Big Show and A train. This ended up being a handicap match as Jones was taken out before the match began. Taker came out to a live performance by Limp Bizkit to the tune of his old song Rollin. Taker looks to be in great shape now and has really elevated his game recently. He pretty much carried this match and made it respectable 7.5/10 3. Womens title: Trish vs. Jazz vs Victoria: Great womens match. Although Trish is really hot she is also a great wrestler and improves every month. The womens division continues to get better and all three of these women put on a great performance. Also we got to see Trish beat the hell out of that ... Steven Richards which was cool. 8/10 4. Tag title match: Team Angle (champions) vs. Rhyno & Benoit vs. Los Guerroros. I was dissapointed someone who is as great as Benoit was stuck in a tag match instead of a top singles match but he made the most of it and these 6 men put on a great match. There were some really cool spots in this match such as the double gore by Rhyno but like the Mysterio match it was too short. It lasted 12 minutes when it should have been given something like 20. 8/10 5. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho: Wow!... This was defineatley match of the night. One of Jerichos 5 best matches and one of Michaels best as well. Several false finishes, reversals, brutality, athleticism and both men doing each others moves this match had it all. Worth the price of admission alone 10.5/10. 6. HHH vs. Booker T: I am not a HHH hater like so many but I have to admit he has lost a lot recently. This match further proved that as this was the worst match of the night. HHH never sold Booker like he was a worthy contender and Booker T did not help matters either as he looked bad as well. And its Wrestlemania for crying out loud and there is no spinoroni Whats up with that??? 4.5/10 7. 20 years in the making Hogan vs Mcmahon Street fight: You know I was mainly looking forward to this because i had never seen Hogan in person and wasnt expecting much of a match but I was wrong. This match told a great story and was really violent. At one point the 57 year old Mcmahon went on top of a ladder and legdropped Hogan through a table from the top of the ladder. This match also has a surprise appearence of someone I would have never expected. Hogan got the biggest reaction of the night and when he started hulking up the place went crazy!... 9.5/10 8. Rock vs. Austin III: Although this match wasnt as good as their previous matches it was still damn good. My friend and I were for Rock the whole way. This match had some great moves and some great comedy like when Rock put on Austins ring jacket. Crowd was really into it as well and was very unpredictable. 8.5/10 9. Main event WWE title match: Kurt Angle (champion) vs. Brock Lesnar: Going into this match I was really worried because Angle had a broken neck and his left arm had shrunk a lot because of it. He was literally risking death or paralysis by wrestling and every time he took a bump I was really worried. The fact that Angle could even wrestle is amazing the fact that he put on one of the best matches of the night simply makes him a super hero. This match was almost as good as any other Angle match. It had great amature and professional moves the only thing that was different was Angle wasnt as explosive as usual but that was expected. Great match to top off a great event. 10/10 Other things that happened were a live performance by Limp Bizkit and a special catfight between the Miller light girls, Torrie and Stacy. These both were pretty weak parst of the show and something I could do without but over all the WWE came up HUGE!...
