Movie Reviews of WWE: WrestleMania 22

Movie Review: AWESOME WRESTLEMANIA!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Man what a event this was ..i neva watch the acually ppv live but i have the dvd and i was very impressed by this ppv ...the chicago crowd was AMAZING!!! and really made wrestlemaina that much better they especially made the main event a whole lot more entertaining with how much they were into it but newayz on to the card......

1) World Tag Team Championship
Kane & Big Show (c) -vs- Carlito & Chris Master
A fairly entertaining tag match much better than i was expecting kane and show works really well together and it was good to see show win his first wrestlemania match 7.5/10

2) Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Finlay -vs- RVD -vs- Hardy -vs- Flair -vs- Benjamin -vs- Lashley
This was a excellent match up ...benjamin,hardy n RVD really carried the other 3 guys but still they were able 2 produce a ladder match we wont soon 4get 9.5/10

3) U.S. Championship
Chirs Beniot (c) -vs- JBL
This was a decent match up could of been better but decent none the less but it didnt have the best ending 6.5/10

4) Hardcore Match
Edge -vs- Mick Foley
This was probaly the match of the night or atleast tied for first with the Ladder Match ...there was that sick table spot with Edge spearing mick through the burning table 9.5/10

5) Booker T & Sharmell -vs- Boogyman
I didnt like this match just because the wrong man won ...r they serious how could Booker T lose to this joke of a wrestler in the BoogymaN this was the second worst match of the night 4/10

6) Woman's Championship
Trish Stratus (c) -vs- Mickie James
This was a pretty good woman's match and the weird thing was that the crowd was acually behind mickie james n booing trish but i cant blame them mickie james does looks good n i love her ring attire ;-) 7/10

7) Casket Match
Undertaker -vs- Mark Henry
This was a good match up it could of been better i felt like it was missing something but undertaker looked really good in this match 6.5/10

8) No Holds Barred
Vince Mcmahon -vs- Shawn Michaels
This was a great match it was basically all HBK but hey i didnt mind him kicking mcmahon's a** n that elbow drop off the 20 foot ladder was great 8.5/10

9) World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angle(c) -vs- Rey Mysterio -vs- Randy Orton
This was a really good match i really enjoyed this but this could of been a classic if they were given more time this was a great match none the less 8.5/10

10) Playboy Pillow Fight
Torrie Wilson -vs- Candace Michell
this was a horrible match the only good thing about this match was candace michell i say they should of just given the triple threat match more time n not even have this on the card 0/10 DUD

11) WWE Champioship
Triple H -vs- John Cena(c)
The crowd was really into this match which really made it a whole lot better ..they were really behind triple H ..and you could just feel the electricity in the building with every punch, every suplex, each wrestler made i really enjoyed this one and Chicago has the most Awesome crowd 9/10

Overall a EXCELLENT WRESTLEMANIA

Movie Review: Wrestlemania 22
Summary: 5 Stars

Kane & Big SHow vs. Carlito & Masters
A good tag match to start off the show, better than most tag matches I have seen on Raw for a while.
RATING: 75/100

Money in The Bank Ladder Match
A great second match of the night! Just about as good as last year with a few great moves by Benjamin and RVD. Also a nice addition was Hardy who did some good moves. Great match.
RATING: 88/100

Mickie James vs. Trish
A very good match. I didn't even notice the botched move that is often talked about, but I did notice an abrupt ending that hurt the rating slightly. Still a very solid match overall, and compared to regular women matches; excellent.
RATING: 78/100

Undertaker vs. Henry
Undertaker worked well here and made this match good. I enjoyed the whole thing and the fantastic leap over the casket really was a nice addition to the match. Great that WWE weren't stupid enough to end his streak.
RATING: 80/100

HBK vs. Mr. Mcmahon
What a match! Now I know this match was no classic "wrestling" match of last years WM, but this match was so entertaining and had so much in it that kept me on the edge of my seat filling me with sadistic laughter the entire way. I loved the DX taunts and a sadistic HBK side. Brilliantly entertaining match!
RATING: 93/100

Edge vs. Foley
Wow! This match had great potential and mostly lived up to it. Now, I believed the ending was outstanding, but I believe that it came a bit soon as the match should have been about 5 minutes longer. Still a great match typical of Foley.
RATING: 90/100

Boogeyman vs. Booker T & Sharmell
Poor. Shouldn't have been on the card. (Isn't the Book End Booker T's finisher? Why did Boogeyman kick out of it as though it were nothingwith no reaction from the announcers?)
RATING: 55/100

Chris Benoit vs. JBL
Good match, physical and technical. Was probably the only match that had a perfect length and used the minutes well.
RATING: 80/100

Candice vs. Torrie Wilson
Note: Here in SA, they didn't show this match so it will not be include in the ratings.

Orton vs. Rey vs. Angle
Although this match was shorter than the majority of most Smackdown main events, I thought that it was terrific while it lasted and didn't let up at all in action. The Rey victory was great and the Hurracanrana to end the match was a nice touch rather that the senton.
RATING: 87/100

HHH vs. Cena
I don't believe this should have been THE main event, but it delivered well and the entrances were a nice touch. A Cena victory did leave a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth, but I suppose it `had to happen'. The match itself was good and I am glad that finally someone kicked out of the FU. The atmosphere was also very good and added to this.
RATING: 86/100

81% - Outstanding PPV and great Wrestlemania! This iteration had alsmost all. The only thing lacking was a grueling classic wrestling match, but other that, this WM was nearly perfect and deserved in my opinion, to be known as one of the greatest Wrestlemanias of all time.

Movie Review: Top 3 Wrestlemanias ever!!
Summary: 5 Stars

World Tag Team championship Kane/Big Show vs Carlito/Masters:
Pretty good match, better than what I thought, Good opening match for the pay per view, even though Kane and Show won.
Rating: 7/10

Money In the Bank Ladder Match:
Awesome match!! In ways, better than the first, but not really, the first one jus had overall better superstars, but nontheless, this match was great, great moves and at times it will make u gasp. To me, it seemed a little more painful than the first, thats just me. RVD wins
Rating: 9/10

U.S Title match: Benoit vs JBL
Not bad, the problem it ws a little bit long which may bore you, still a good match with JBL winning, by cheating, duh.
Rating: 6/10

Edge vs Mick Foley in a Hardcore match:
AWESOME!!!! one of the greatest harcore matches ever!! Very brutal match, both men took serious bumps, specially Foley, match of the night for sure and that spear..... AWESOME!!
Rating: 10/10

Boogeyman vs Booker T and Sharmell
Rating: 1/10

Womens Title match Mickie James vs Trish Stratus:
Pretty good match, for a womens title match, great action with Mickie finaly ending Trish's One year + title reign
Rating: 8/10

Casket Match Undertaker vs Mark Henry:
Good match, Henry ruled most of it until Undertaker hit the last ride then it was all Undertaker, good match specially when Taker flew out of the ring with that dive, awesome, and of course 14-0
Rating: 7/10

No Holds Barred match HBK vs Vince Mcmahon:
Really good and enjoyable match. Shawn made this match really good, you will want to watch it over and over, awesome match and an awesome finish, HBK wins
Rating: 10/10

Triple Threat World Title Match, Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton:
Short match, less than 10 min. It was short but really good. Fast paced action which Kurt should have won twice but whatever really good match where at times anyone could have won, Rey wins by pinning Orton via 619, Angle got robbed
Rating: 9/10 due to being short and Angle losing

Playboy Pillow Fight, Candice Michelle vs Torrie Wilson:
Rating: 3/10, it was hot

WWE Title match: John Cena vs Triple H
Better than I thought, the people made the match by cheering for HHH and booing Cena, really good match, Cena wins via STFU overall enjoyable match with the conan entrance for HHH and the Chicago Mobsters ebtreance for Cena
Rating: 9/10

Overall, Wrestlemania 22 was one of THE TOP 3 Wresltemanias ever, its up there with WM17 and prob 16, With extras like Saturday Nights Main Event made the DVD better, If you buy WWE DVD's you have buy this one, you will love it!
AWESOME ppv. 5/5 starts 10/10

Movie Review: Wrestlemania 22=BIG TIME!
Summary: 5 Stars

Not the best Wrestlemania but still awesome. I wathced it on Paperview and I was on the edge of my seat.
Match #1 World Tag Team Championship
Kane and Big Show vs. Carlito and Chris Masters
Great way to start the show. Higlights include Kane jumping off the top onto Carlto and Masters. Ends with Kane chokeslamming Carlito. Rating 7/10

Match #2
Money in the Bank Ladder match
Finlay vs. Ric Flair vs. Lashley vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs RVD
Awesome match! Matt Hardy was awesome with the Side Effect and Leg Drop off the ladder. Benjamin hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the ladder and ran up the ladder, did a flip, and took out everyone. RVD hit a splash from the top of the ladder and nailed Van Terminator. Ended with RVD winning. Rating 10/10

Match #3 US championship
Chris Benoit vs JBL
OK but could've been better. Benoit carried the match. Ended with JBL cheating (like that suprises anyone). Rating 7/10.

Match #4 Harcore match
Edge vs. Mick Foley
Hm...., lets see. Tons of weapons, thumbtacks, barbwire baseball bats, barwire, tables, fire, an awesome superstar, a Hardcore Legend, and spear through a flaming table. If you don't think this is the total package you can go to hell! The winner was Edge. Ration 10/10

Match # 5
Boogeyman vs. Booker T and Sharmell
I like Boogeyman but this match is just stupid. Only good part is ending. Undeserving of Wrestlemania. 3/10

Match # 6 Womens Championship
Trish Stratus vs. Mickis James
I thought this would be just a card filler but turned out to be one of the best women's match ever. Only bad thing is the predictable ending. new champ Mickie James. Rating 8/10

Match #7 Casket match
Undertaker vs. Mark Henry
Henry sucks. Having him injuring everyone is stupid. the soar over the top rope by Taker was awesome and the right person won.
Rating 8/10

Match #8 No Holds Barred
Vince McMahon vs Shawn Michaels
This was one of the most entertaining matches ever. It was awesome when Shawn did the DX chop and hit the elbow off the top through the table. Shawn won with Sweet Chin Music. Vince flicked off Shawn while on a stretcher. Rating 8/10

Match #9 World Heavyweight Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle
Even though this match was only 9 minutes long it was wicked. Everyone hit their finisher and there was a lot flying moves and the ending was phenominal. Rating 9/10

Match # 10 Playboy Pillow Fight
Candice vs. Torrie
Like everyone else said this match wasted time from the World title match and this match sucked. Rating 0/10

Match # 11 WWE Championship
John Cena vs. Triple H
This was a very good match. I still don't get why everyone hated Cena. Nice sledgehammer shot by Triple H. I knew Triple H would kick out of the F-U but I never thought he would tap to the STFU. Still an awesome match. Rating 9/10

Overall Wrestlemania rocked except for the pillow figth and Boogeyman match. A must have for a WWE fan.
