Movie Review: A decent ppv from the invasion angle
Summary: 3 Stars
This ppv carried over some of the bigger storylines from summerslam the month before. This doesn't at all compare to summerslam but its still watchable.
4-Team Elimination Match for the WWF tag team Titles
Dudleyz(C) vs. Hardyz vs. Lance Storm & Hurricane vs. Big Show & Spike Dudley
A pretty good opener.But the Dudleyz and Hardyz stole the show. Some comedic spots. Pretty quick pace. Lance Storm took a vicious chokeslam. 3.5/5
Perry Saturn vs. Raven
A stupid storyline going into this. The crowd wasn't even in to it. I still think it was pretty decent, but I hate the way these two were used in wwe. They were capable of much better. You also get to see Terri, thats always a good thing. 2.5/5
IC Title
Edge vs. Christian
Everybody knew this was coming. They teased it for months. Just another brother vs. brother storyline. It had some brawling and good wrestling. I didn't really care for the ending though. 3/5
WCW Tag Team Titles
Kane & Undertaker vs. Kronik
I dont know what it was exactly. But this match just seemed off. It wasn't too bad, but I expected better. Some decent spots, it was a good thing it didn't last longer. 2.5/5
WWF hardcore
Chris Jericho vs. RVD
Great match. Very fast paced and lots of wrestling. RVD and Jericho always deliver when they have someone that can blend with their style. Weapons was bought in as well. One of the best of the night. 4.5/5
Handicapp Match for the WCW Title
Rock vs. Booker T & Shane
This match was mostly a story being told. It was entertaining. Some very good spots, and the suspense factor was there. Lots of things took place in this match. 4.5/5
US Title
Tajiri vs. Rhyno
Tajiri sells his injury he got from Rhyno like the week before. The result is a squash match. It wasn't that much of a squash but it should have been on RAW or Smackdown. 2.5/5
WWF Title
Stone Cold vs. Kurt Angle
It was obvious from the start who was going to win this. With the 9/11 attack going down and Kurt being in his hometown, to include he heavily represents the USA. It only made sense for him to win right here. But then Kurt dropped the belt right back to him way before the next ppv. So it was obvious Kurt wasn't even due a title run yet.
Austin sold a serious beating almost through out the whole match. I didn't really care for this match to much. Simply because I just didn't like seeing Austin playing the weak heel character. I seen all his rivalries and he looked the absolute weakest here. This didn't compare to their summerslam match but it was still decent. 3.5/5
Its a decent ppv and nothing more. If you got spare cash pick it up. Rent it if possible.
