Movie Reviews of WWE Survivor Series 2007Movie Review: Finally, a very good PPV WWE has put on in awhile Summary: 5 Stars
This is going to be my first review I'm writing on Amazon and I'm a major Wrestling fan so, I'm going to start off my first review by reviewing, WWE Survivor Series 2007.
This PPV was by far and me personally, the best PPV for the WWE in 2007 along tied with Wrestlemania 23. Although, some parts of the PPV were don't that good, overall this PPV was AWESOME.
Match#1:
ECW Championship
Triple Threat Match
The Miz vs. John Morrison vs. CM Punk:
This match showed off a pretty good opener. All 3 of these guys showed off and performed alot of good moves in this match. CM Punk performed the best out of this match for me personally. Quick paced action bewteen all 3 with each other. If there was one complaint about the match is that the match COULD of been a little longer. This match was about 7 to 8 Minutes and it could of been 10 to 12 Minutes, but overall this was a great match and a great opener. Also, this is one the best ECW Title matches I have seen on a WWE PPV in awhile. CM Punk retain by giving The Miz a Go To Sleep for the win and retain the title.
Rating: 8/10
Match#2:
10 Divas Tag Team Match:
Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Layla, Melina and Victoria vs. Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Maria, Michelle McCool and Torrie Wilson
This match got me by surpise. I expect this match to be a dud but, it actcally was one of the better woman's matches I have seen in a long time since Victoria vs. Mickie James at NYR 2007. This match probably would of been better had it been a 10 Diva Elimmation Tag Match, since that probably would of made the match more fun to watch but, overall it was pretty good for a woman's match. This match also made me change my opinion on Kelly Kelly. Mickie did the best out of this match, cleaned house and got the win for her team by, giving the kiss of death on Melina and Mickie's team wins. Like I said, one of the best woman's matches in awhile.
Rating: 7/10
Match#3:
World Tag Team Championship Match:
Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch:
I really didn't care much for this match as Cody Rhodes is still learning the ropes in the WWE and Hardcore Holly isn't what he used to be back a few years ago in the WWE. This match was okay but, it was typical tag match with nothing really special happening. Lance and Trevor retain their titles in this match. It would of been nice to have London and Kendrick going for the title beffore Cody and Holly but, overall the match was okay. The match ended with Trevor doing a Powerbomb type of pin on Cody to retain and keep his Tag Team Title with Lance.
Rating: 6/10
Match#4:
5 on 4 Survior Series Match:
Umaga, M.V.P., Mr.Kennedy, Finlay and Big Daddy V vs. Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and Kane:
Note: Matt Hardy was supposed to be in this match but, due to be injured by M.V.P., he had to be taken out of this match.
This match was REALLY AWESOME. Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy performed the best out of this match and carried the heels well in the ring. Even Umaga, whom is trash in the ring, did well in this match. This match had a few good parts, espically where Umaga and Rey Mysterio battled with each other, Jeff battling Umaga and the NICE Double DDT Triple H and Jeff did on Big Daddy V. The match ended when Jeff and Triple H were the last men on their team and Umaga was the last person left on his team and Jeff won the match for their team by giving Umaga a Swaton Bomb and Triple H double teamed with him with a Pedigree for the win.
Rating: 9/10
Match#5:
Great Khali vs. Hornswoogle:
This was THE ONLY BAD AND MAJOR BAD Match on the PPV...TOTAL! Great Khali cannot wrestle as all he does in his matches are a couple of chops, punchs, kicks and a BIG Slam and wins the match by squashing his opponents and Hornswoogle is the major reason why WWE is killing their Crusierweight division currently but, then again I hope nobody should of taken this match seriously, because this match was only made for the stupid Child McMahon Storyline currently. If you are watching this on DVD, skip this. This match ended in DQ by Finlay attacking Khali helping Hornswoogle
Rating: 3/10
Match#6:
WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels:
Is is me or is that ever since John Cena got injured, RAW is building better matches, star power and better feuds? That is TRUE. Since Cena got injured, WWE is having better wrestling matches and that has happened since No Mercy. Randy and HBK put on a decent good match here and had a few good spots in the match, with Randy and HBK getting each other with close pinfalls and whatnot. It was very obvious Randy was going to retain since, Randy JUST GOT his WWE tite run a month ago at No Mercy. The match ended with Randy finshing HBK with an RKO and retaining the title.
Rating: 8/10
Main Event:
World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Hell in a Cell Match:
Batista vs. Undertaker:
Hell in a Cell ALWAYS deliver. No question about it. This match probably wasn't the best HIAC ever but, IT WAS GOOD ONE. This had to be one of Batista best matches I have seen since Wrestlemania 23 and Undertaker always delivers in HIAC matches. The ending kind of ruined it since it was clearly obvious Edge was going to return and enter in the championship run and appeared somewhere in the match. Overall this was Match of the Night of the PPV and a good contender for Best WWE Match of 2007. The match ended with Edge attacked Undertaker with a Steel Chair and Camera as Batista retaining/keeping his title covered him after Edge attacked Undertaker.
Rating: A Perfect, 10/10
Overall, this had to be one the best WWE PPV'S I have seen in awhile and tied with Wrestlemania 23 as the PPV of the Year, the WWE has done. I recommend you buy this AWESOME WWE PPV.
