Movie Review: Fantastic show all around !

SummerSlam 2002 is arguably the best WWE pay per view event of 2002. nearly every match on the card is great ... and note that they are great WRESTLING matches. don't get me wrong, i love the TLC matches, cage matches, royal rumbles and street fights... but the matches featured on this card exhibit possibly the best showcase of pure wrestling that the wwe has offered in recent years. the only exception to this theme of pure wrestling is the hhh vs hbk match which is more or less a street fight but is nevertheless a great match from two of the best ever and they do not disappoint. after being absent from active wrestling for more than 4 years , hbk takes on hhh. the two put on a performance that rivals the best that either wrestler has ever had.
the show begins with angle vs mysterio. i think this is mysterio's first ppv event and after seeing this performance he will certainly be a mainstay on wwe ppv. he along with angle put on a great match that shows that angle can wrestle a faster paced style match just as well as a heavyweight contest.
the intercontinental title match showcases the supurb technical wrestler benoit going up against the uniquely- skilled rvd. these two put on a match that makes you wish the intercontinental title had not been retired 2 months later.
brock lesnar justifies his push as he and the rock compete in a great contest for the undisputed championship in the main event.
i had my doubts about lesnar being pushed to the top so soon in his career, but after seeing this, i understand what everyone saw in the potential of this young superstar.
these are only the show's headlining matches ! there are 4 other great undercard matches that make this event a solid show from beginning to end.

wow a spectacular match a lot of submisson moves from kurt they show a lot of great stuff in this match there is no boring parts

Don't know what to say about this match, Flair wins with the figure four leglock, but Jericho wins in the beggining

World Tag Team Championhsip Booker-T, Goldust vs. Lance Storm, Christian
well the unamericans cheated to win! Because of Test well besides that this match was a great tag team match Booker-T does a double scissors kick and a lot more

Another good match, but I have to admit that there NO Dissaquification match was better than this still good moves from both

Intercontential Championship Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Benoit
Good technical moves here this was one of the best of the night I think you'll be impressed if you see this match

How brutal it was frickin brutal with steel chairs the ladder a table and more excellent street fight

WWE Championship The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar is amazing he's won King of the Ring, Royal Rumble 2003 and 3 time wwe champion. Well in this match I wanted Rock the rock hits the rock bottom, but I'm looking for the 3 not the 2 then later brock hits the F-5 and wins

wow what a sumerslam. the best summerslam to date. here are the matches. kurt angle vs rey mysterio- a great fast paced high flying match. mysterio uses every trick in the book. legdrop. 619 everything. excellent way to start summerslam 9-10. ric flair vs chris jericho- alright boring matchup. both men are incredibly slow. chopping each other around for 10 minutes. flair chops low blows then makes jericho tap in the figure four leglock 4-10. edge vs eddie geurrero- a lot of good moves are used. a lot of great technical wrestiling. but for some reason suprizingly boring. edge wins with the spear 6-10. bookert and goldust vs unamericans- not a bad tag team championship match. unamericans win due to interference by test 7-10. chris benoit vs rob van dam for interconteintal championship- the match featured lots of solid wrestiling. but quickly grew boring. so manyt submission holds. after awhile it looked like the two men were hugging eachother 6-10. undertaker vs test- a nice confratation. two big men streetfighting till the end. solid match 7-10. triple h vs shawn micheals non sanction- five words. best match of the night. an amazing match. we saw sledgehammers. tables . ladders. a fire exquinsher. many chairs. great moves. def defying leaps. if theres one reason you buy this video this match should be it. a classic 10-10. rock vs brock lesnar- maybe not as good as triple h vs shawn micheals. but a great highly entertaining match from start to finish 9-10. overall buy this video. for rock vs brock for the wwe title. shawn micheals vs triple h. and kurt angle vs rey mysterio.Movie Review: Best PPV of 2002

What a way to get started! Fantastic match. Not a single boring spot to be found here. Two professionals doing what they do best.
Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair
Also could've been the opener. Great match. Only thing stopping this was an abrupt finish.
Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero
Again, a very good match. Nothing bad to report on this. Good ring psychology too.
Intercontinental Championship
Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam
A dream match! Contrasting styles that blended perfectly. I really hope these have another someday.
Tag Team Championship
The Un-Americans vs. Booker T & Goldust
I'm glad the un-americans angle was scrapped quickly. Very poor taste since it wasn't even a year after 9/11. As for the match, very good with the crowd really getting involved.
Undertaker vs. Test
A lot of people said this was boring. No way. Good big man match. Taker never really gets respect.
Non-Sanctioned Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H
First meeting between these two. HBK takes a serious beating in this! It almost looks real. Match of the year. Amazing!
Undisputed Championship
The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar
I can't believe the crowd booed the people's champ! Just plain stupid. Shows what they know since Brock screwed all the fans 2 years later. Match felt rushed but was great. Even after following a classic it holds up very well. Still waiting for that rematch.
Movie Review: One of the greatest summerslams ever

... I will review an rank all matches out of 10.Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio: This was a great match. It was fast paced and had alot of good moves. Great opener. 9/10
Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair: This was an ok match but not the greatest match that Jericho or Flair have ever had. 5/10
Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero: The one guy I mentioned said that so many people loved this match but he hated it. Well I'm one of those people how loved this match. It was great. They are both really good competiters. 9/10
WWE Tag Team championship: Lance Storm and Christian vs. Booker T. and Goldust This was a decent match. I just wish that Booker and Goldust won. 7/10
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam I thought this was a letdown. It was really slow at the beginnging. The second half was good but I was just dissapointed. 4/10
Undertaker vs. Test: This was ok but not the best match. It was better than The Intercontinental title match. 6/10
Non Sanctioned match: Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels Two words. SHOW STEALER!!!!!!!! This was the best match on the card. Both men were superb in it. It was also Shawn Michaels first match back after a career ending back injury. 100000/10
WWE Undisputed Championship: The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar WOW what a match. I loved the part where The Rock whoops I can't tell you. All I can tell you is that it was a great match. 10/10
