Movie Review: No way out 2005 review!!!
Summary: 4 Stars
Overall this was a good event with some very exiting moments.
DIVA CONTEST.
There were three rounds of this competition spread out through the show, Rochelle is awful, yes she was in playboy but she trys to steal the show with jokes and telling the crowd she loves them.
The three rounds are:
Evening gown
Talent
Swimsuit
WINNER:Joy Jiovanni (By voting on the internet)
Match 1: The bashams (champions) vs Eddie Guerrero,Rey meysterio
The challengers are the heroes in this match, since no one likes the bashams the crowd are cheering Eddie on from the start.
Winners: Eddie Guerrero, Rey meysterio, After Eddie hit Doug Basham with the championship belt. (new champions) 7\10
MATCH 2: Booker T vs Heidenreich
This had potential to be a really good match with both competitors holding thier own,could have been longer but otherwise a good filler match with a disappointing ending.
Winner: Booker T (disqualification) 6\10
Match 3: 6-man match (cruiserweight title)
Very entertaining match with some amazing moves including a neckbreaker off the top rope, I thought that the champion was eliminated far to quickly and could have been in longer for the sake of the match. 7\10
Winner: Chavo Guerrero (new champion)
MATCH 4: Undertaker vs Luther Reigns
The result of this match is quite obvious, though Reigns does put up one hell of a fight and at several stages could have beaten the undertaker, though towards the end undertaker is completely dominant. 6\10
Winner: Undertaker (pinfall)
MATCH 5: No.1 contenders match. Kurt Angle vs John Cena
This was easily the best on the card, some amazing moves and great wrestling, with a shocking ending. This is a great effort from both athletes and there is a lot of hate between the two which really fuels thier efforts, WATCH THIS MATCH!!!!! 10\10

Match 6: First ever barbed wire steel cage match!!!
J.B.L vs Big Show (wwe championship)
This is a brutal and entertaining main event, Smackdown ends this pay-per-view in style, Big Show dominates early but due to a plan involving a set of bolt cutters and the "cabinet" J.B.L nearly steals the win, towards the end there is a spectacular and shocking moment,but i won't spoil it for you!!! 9\10
Winner: J.B.L (escaping the cage first)
Movie Review: Not the best,but a good NWO

This No Way Out featured a first-ever main event.It was good and should be used a little more.
1.Basham Brothers vs. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio(WWE Tag Team Championship)
This was a great tag team match.Eddie and Rey can steal the show one-on-one, and apparantly they can do it as a tag team. There was a good mixture of fast-paced high-flying action and slow-paced pure wrestling.9 out of 10.
2.Booker T vs. Heidenreich
This was basically a filler,and it showed.It had the potential to be decent,but it just lagged on too much and the DQ ending hurt it.5 out of 10.
3.6-man elimination match.(WWE Cruiserweight Championship)
Paul London vs. Akio vs. Spike Dudley vs.Chavo Guerrero vs. Shannon Moore vs. Funaki
This was a good Cruiserweight match with big moves, but it just felt like some people got eliminated too quickly.8 out of 10.
4.Luther Reigns vs. Undertaker
This was a typical big man match, with power moves and slower action. I think that Luther should have gotten a bigger push because he had potential.7 out of 10.
Rookie Diva Contest
Joy Giovanni vs. Rochelle Loewen vs. Michelle McCool vs. Lauren Jones
This was a contest throughout the night.You could tell that Joy would win because of the crowd's reactions.There was an evening gown contest,talent contest and a swimsuit contest.10 out of 10.(Just because of the hot girls)
5.John Cena vs. Kurt Angle(Winner becomes #1 contender at Wrestlemania)
This was an excellent match. These two have good coordination together in the ring, and it shows in this match. I also liked what Eddie Guerrero said to Cena earlier in the night.It was inspirational.Outstanding performance between these two great competitors.10 out of 10.
6.First-Ever barbed wire steel cage match(WWE Championship)
JBL vs. Big Show
This was a good attempt at a first-ever match, and I think they should have more of these matches.It was brutal.When JBL looked for an opening through the barbed wire, his wrist got cut open.
The ending was very unexpected and I liked what happened after the match.The match was highlited by a chokeslam through the ring off the top rope.It wasn't a perfect match, and I think that they could improve on this type of match.9 out of 10.

Damn it, when will he lose that title? For the rest of the card the match of the night was cena vs angle, it may even be a match of the year candidate. the crusierweight match was good, but way way too short.
The rest of the matches were okay, and the tag team match was great for the ending. But JBL has to lose that title someday, its one of the reasons smackdown has lost its ratings.
To Mr. Ryan, did you know your "great champ" hasn't even managed to pin someone fair and square? But hey, that's not what we want to see anymore, to have a fair match end up in a fair ending, we all want to see one of them cheat to win after 25 minutes of our time.
Think about it, he screwed over eddie twice with the help of kurt angle, once at the Great American Bash [horrible ppv by the way] then again when he had the cage match with eddie.
He screwed over undertaker twice at summerslam and no mercy with the help of heidenreich and orlando jordon. Then it was booker T at survivor series, followed by all three men mentioned above at armageddon again with the help of Heidenreich.
But its far from over, on to the Royal Rumble with the help of both Angle's men and the cabinet where he screwed the big show.
in fact the only match he won without the full help of anyone was the cage match at no way out, and the only reason he won that was a freak accident when he got chokeslammed through the ring floor.
So until the day that steven richards wins the world title, JBL will never, in my mind, be worthy to have that title. [Unless he wins a match by actually pinning someone on his own]
But dont make it a last man standing match, his match with Kurt angle was just wrestling, harldy any weapons at all and even kurt couldn't make him look good.
Movie Review: No Way Out 2005- Live
Summary: 4 Stars
I have attended Bad Blood 2004, Survivor Series 2004, and now No Way Out 2005. I can safely say that this is the worst of the three events, but thats not sayin its bad. Three of the matches were good, two were ok, and one was just terrible (the diva contest isn't even worth any true critique).
Bashams vs. Eddie/Rey- One of the three good matches, solid tag-team action.
Booker T vs. Heidenreich- Horrible match, worst of the night. John needs to go back to OVW asap.
Cruiserweight Elimination- Could have been so much better if 1. WWE let the cruisers go all out and 2. If London had won.
Undertaker vs. Reigns- Decent big-man brawl. Only truely enjoyable if you are a big fan of Taker's.
Angle vs. Cena: #1 Contender's Tournament Final- MOTN. A great effort by both guys made this match great and probably the best match I have seen from either one in a long time.
JBL vs. Big Show: Barbed Wire Steel Cage- Second best match of the night. Didn't live up to the hype, but the ending alone made it a match to remember.
Movie Review: A GOOD/ Smackdown PPV,.,., but not worth the $35 when you buy it on DEMAND

Overall Good BUT NOT great smackdown PPV if you are a wrestling fan YOU MUST ADD THIS TO YOUR COLLECTION !
