Movie Review: Rowdy Time
Summary: 4 Stars
Of all the WWE Superstars that have graced us with their presence, there is no one quite like "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. He is my favorite heel of all time. Whether you loved him or hated him, there was no denying his greatness. I loved how they broke his story into three discs and I enjoyed Piper's Pit the most.Movie Review: Solid, But Unspectacular DVD Release

If you are a 1980's wrestling fan, then you will pick up this box set as I did. There is a lot of content in this box set, especially of Piper in the WWF. However, most of that content is repetitive and does not hold up too well 25 years later. If you have seen 1 Piper's Pit, then you have pretty much seen them all, so the countless Piper's Pits on this box set get boring (especially since many of the guests are very minor wrestlers).
The match selection is fine, but the fact is that Piper was never a good in ring worker even in his prime, so there is not much to watch here (his best matches, such as Wrestlemania 8, are already on other DVD releases). Some of the stuff on this box set, such as his geriatric garbage with Hogan in WCW, is just brutally bad. The main DVD feature is a 90 minute fluff piece that tells you nothing about Piper and offers no insight or excitement. The title of this set is born to controversy, but there is nothing controversial in it, as all of Piper's controversies (refusing to lose to Hogan in the 1980's, arguing with McMahon, et cetera) are ignored.

Documentary on Pipper was good and I didnt really have a problem with it. The matches are a mixed bag. The Valentine and Hart match are worth watching and probably his best matches. Pipper Pits? Of course its worth it for that. I enjoyed the dvd for the documentary and Pipper Pits. The matches are alright but besides the two I stated earlier, nothing speical. Movie Review: THE HOT ROD IS BACK!!!!!!

I've always enjoyed watching Rowdy Roddy piper, The pits are hilarious And his matches were more like street brawls then anything else, But hey who says you have to be a fantastic wrestler to have a successful career? And Roddy Piper is a good example of that. Roddy discusses his ups and downs in his wrestling career (like everybody else does.)He talks about Vince Mcmahon, His big feud with hulk hogan and winning his first championship! The bonus matches are very good as well, and so are the pits.I'm glad that WWE put some effort into this one, It would almost be a crime if they didn't.Movie Review: Well Done dvd set

This is a very well done dvd set. I love how Disc 3 is nothing but Piper's Pit. The doc. is great, I learned somethings about Piper I didn't know. If your a fan of Pipers Pit and or his wrestling this is a must own dvd set.
