Movie Review: Almost a complete rip off
Summary: 2 Stars
This had a lot of low points. This was a very lousy choice of matches for a ppv. To include an even worse event between Austin and Bischoff called the Redneck Triathalon. I gues it was meant to be funny. But I dont find anything funny about wasting peoples money on burping contest and 80 year old women in thongs. This ppv was almost horrible.
Dudley Boyz vs. Rodney Mack &Christopher Nowinski
First of all the storyline leading up to this was so stupid its not even worth mentioning. To include the match was just plain boring. 1/5
Scott Steiner vs. Test
The winner of this match gets Stacy Kiebler managerial services. This match wasn't the worst in history, it just wasn't good. A couple of high impact slams. The match should have been shorter. 2/5
Redneck Triathalon
Steve Austin vs. Eric Bischoff
This takes place several times throughtout the ppv. So I'm going to rate this as well being that it takes alot of time that could have been used for something else. It consist of a burping contest with pre recorded, highly exaggerated burps. Which really wasn't funny. I dont even want to get too into this as it was nothing but a waste of time. I mean who wants to see an 80 year old woman in a thong putting her a** in someone's face? 0/5
IC Title Match
Christian vs. Booker T
This match began at a fast pace that shaped up to be an excellent match. There are a few cool spots. But the ending was jip and for me, really hurt the match. 2.5/5
Tag Team Titles
RVD & Kane vs. La Resistance
This match was weak and an even weaker end to RVD and Kane's title run. This match was something that should have been saved for RAW also. 2/5
Goldberg vs. Chris Jericho
I didn't like the way Jericho has been used in wwe. But I'm glad this match wasn't a squash either. Jericho carried this match and made Goldberg look alot better than he really is. The build up for the match was pretty good also, and for me really didn't disappoint. 3.5/5
Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair
This match had classic written all over it. Too bad it didn't deliver. Only one high spot and the rest is just ok at best. To include the ending sucked. A match between two icons like Flair and Michaels should have a clean ending and be talked about for years. Nobody mentions this one. And with good reason. 2/5
Hell in the Cell
Triple H vs. Kevin Nash w/ special ref Mick Foley
I wont say this is the worst HINC match ever. Because I still enjoyed this one. However, it can't match a single one before or after it. This match was brutal. Lots of weapon use, and the ref took a beating also. Some very close falls, and lots of action. The match never really slowed down. 3.5/5
This screams rental and nothing more. Nobody should pay more than 5 bucks for this. There were far better ppvs for that year, this was possibly the second worst for 03. Get this only if you must have it.
