Movie Reviews of WWE Backlash 2001Movie Review: WWF Backlash 2001 Summary: 5 Stars
Dudley Boyz VS X-Factor: A good opener with X-Factor winning
Rhyno VS Raven: Something the WWE is sorely lacking these days is the hardcore division. It gave many wrestlers something to do and towards the end it was getting very serious competiton. This match was brutal and awesome.
Chris Jericho VS William Regal in a Dutchess of Queensbury Rules Match: A confusing match with the rules changing every few minutes. A decent match but the rule changing brought it down a bit.
Kurt Angle VS Chris Beniot in a 30-Minute Iron Man Match: An excellent match between two men who never wrestle a bad match. A must watch
Shane McMahon VS Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match: Shane O' Mac puts on anther good performance in a hardcore match. Very good match and the ending was awesome.
Eddie Guerrero VS Christian VS Matt Hardy: A good match with Jeff Hardy helping his brother win in the end.
Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker and Kane) VS Stone Cold and Triples H: An enjoyable main event, I hated Austin and Triple H at this time. They win the tag belts from Brothers of Destruction.
Overall, an awesome PPV. The menu is very inventive and one of the best ive seen on a WWE/WWF dvd. A must own
Movie Review: amazing Summary: 5 Stars
Here are the matches for Backlash 2001
1.X-Factor vs. Dudley Boys-this is i think a great opener, even tho the dudleys lost.
2.Rhyno vs. Raven (Hardcore Championship)-Probably the best match of the night they pretty much use everthing againt each other.
3.Matt hardy vs. Christian vs. Eddie Gurrereo triple threat match (European Championship)-an ok match, edge and jeff hardy interfere and matt hary retains the title.
4.William Regal vs. Chris Jericho (Duches of QueensBerry Rules Match)-In this one the rules are all in favor of Regal, and as a result Jericho gets roobed.
5.Chris benoit vs. Kurt angle (30-min Submission match)-this is a great match, they both have equal amount of taps and as a result they go into sudden death where Benoit makes Angle tap!
6.Shane McMahon vs. Big Show-this is of the chain, even tho Mr.McMahon interferes in the match,Shane sacrifices his body to win this one,Test also interferes.
7.Stone Cold and HHH vs. Undertaker and Kane (WWF,Intercontinental, and Tag-Team championship match)-this a great match i dont know why is so underrated,is not every pay-per-view that you see 3 titles on the line, overall very good bigman match.
Movie Review: WWE BACKLASH ROCKS Summary: 5 Stars
WWE Backlash was great. This was the second best WWE pay-per-view event of 2001(just behind Wrestlemania 17). It's one of the best pay-per-view events ever in WWE history. With that said, I've made a list of my top 3 favorite matches of WWE Backlash 2001: Number 3: Undertaker and Kane v.s. Stone Cold and Triple H(Tag Team title and WWE title on the line)- The main event of WWE Backlash featured the two 7 foot monsters Undertaker and Kane taking on Stone Cold and Triple H (Who battled each other in No Way Out 2001 but now were teaming up). This making was full of intense action and excitement. Number 2: Raven v.s. Rhyno(Harecore title on the line)-This match was Hardcore and featured lots of blood bashing weapons such as chairs, trash can lids, shopping carts, and a whole lot more. Great hardcore match. Number 1: Big Show v.s Shane McMahon- By far the best match of WWE Backlash and the best match of 2001. What made this match my favorite was when Shane McMahon climbed up on top of the stage about 40 feet high in the air and just jumped right off of the stage and landed right on the 7'2'', 500 pound Big Show. This movie is fantastic and is a must own for everyone.
Movie Review: Backlash Ruled!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Backjlash ruled. Last Man Standing, Hardcore, and the classic Ultimate Sumbission highlighted this one. Look what Dave Mcoy said!
As 2001 pay-per-views go, Backlash is rather weak. Anytime you find the now aging and slow-moving Undertaker and Kane in a main event, you know the WWF had writers' block. Here, 'Taker and Kane take on heels Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H with all of the major titles up for grabs. Seeing Austin teaming with Triple H (the same guy who broke Stone Cold's neck a year back) requires suspension of disbelief that even wrestling fans can't muster. Luckily, Backlash has a couple of mid-card matches that save it from totally tanking. On the wresting side of things, the 30-minute Ultimate Submission Match between former Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle and technical specialist Chris Benoit is the type of match that pleases traditionalists: no gimmicks, pure action. And for those that love hardcore, the Raven/Rhyno match is brutal fun. --Dave McCoy
Backlash!?! Weak!?! Maybe this guy was watching Backlash 2003, cause 2001 was a five star ppv hands down.
Movie Review: Backlash always Has An Amazing Cover Summary: 5 Stars
Has anyone noticed that HHH has a tedency for being on the cover of Backlash. Ever since 2001, HHH has been on the cover of 3 out of 5 Backlashes, and even though I hate HHH, they have all been great. Probably all of you wont find this helpful, but Im gonna rate the Backlash covers since 2001.
2001: 10/10 (HHH makes a great cover. Everyone loves the Backlash 01 cover)
2002: 10/10 (Another amazing cover by The Game. Im in love with the 2002 Backlash cover.)
2003: 3/10 (The Rock vs Goldberg cover was to ugly to be a Backlash)
2004: 9.5/10 (Chris Benoits Backlash cover was actually pretty cool. A good Backlash cover, better the 03 by far.)
2005: 10/10 (HHH makes his Backlash cover return with an amazing one, that hangs up there with his 01 and 02 covers!)
