Movie Review: ARMAGEDON!!

Armageddon opened up with a video package saying Armageddon is upon us and the end is here. It highlighted the going's on between John Bradshaw Layfield, the Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero and Booker T since JBL won the title back in June. The fireworks then went off in the arena for the start of WWE Armageddon as Michael Cole and Tazz welcomed us to the show!
1st match: Rey Mysterio & Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki for the WWE Tag Team Championship:
The finish:
Kenzo was sent to the outside and then RVD went up top and came off with the Five Star on Dupree while Mysterio gave Kenzo a splash on the outside. RVD then made the cover to retain the titles! Truly this is one of the best Tag Team matches ever! Just a great match!

This doesn't even count as a match but Angle beat the hell out of Santa Claus in the Angle Invitational.

2nd match: Daniel Puder vs. Mike Mizanin in a Dixie Dog Fight:
Final round and Miz comes out swinging. Puder is more controlled and focused and Mizanin is throwing punches wildly. Puder scored with a big right and Miz checks the
clock. Puder scored with another big right but the time is out and we are met with more boos from the crowd.
Long got back on the mic and said the match has gone the distance, and now right now, the decision is going to be left up to the fans. Mizanin got a decent reaction but
Puder got a big reaction too and it sounds like a tie. Long then said we have a winner and it's Daniel Puder. Miz and Puder shook hands and Al got in the ring. Snow asked if Miz would have fought a different fight. Miz said Puder's right was brutal. Mizanin told the fans to vote for him on Thursday. Snow showed some footage on the Titan Tron and Puder said this is boxing, three rounds, gloves? No. He is an ultimate fighter and he wants to break bones, snap, crackle and pop. Nice to see them hit each other.

Booker and Eddie talk backstage and say that they want to kick JBL's ass. Taker shows up behind them and they wet themselves and get the hell out!
3rd match: Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly vs. The Basham Brothers:
The finish:
Dawn Marie runs down to check on Charlie and then Miss Jackie comes down and they get in a screaming match on the outside. Haas keeps them apart and while Holly is distracted he gets rolled up from behind from the win. Holly isn't happy and shouts and Haas and Haas says he is sorry. Holly continues to berate Haas and tells him not to pay attention to them. Haas can make anything look good.

4th match: John Cena (c) vs. Jesus for the United States Championship in a Street Fight:
The finish:
Jesus tried to battle back and Carlito got a few shots in, but Cena kept in control. Cena jumped off the barricade and hit the throwback on Jesus. Cena looks under the ring and Jesus is inside the ring. Cena pulls out a trash can lid and a sheet of metal. He whacked Jesus in the head with the trash can lid and then with the steel. Cena pumped up his shoes and then hit Jesus with the FU and made the cover for the win. Cena just kicked Jesus ass the whole thing!

5th match: Miss Jackie vs. Dawn Marie with Charlie Haas as the Special Guest Referee:
This was barely a match, Dawn rolled Jackie up and won. After the match Haas dumped them both!

6th match: The Big Show vs. Mark Jindrak, Luther Reigns and Kurt Angle in a Handicap Match:
The finish:
Show gives Reigns a big boot to the face and Angle tried to get the steps in the ring but Show kicked them out of his hands. Big Show then picked Jindrak up and hit him with the F5! Big Show made the cover and he picked up the win! Actually a pretty good match.

7th match: Spike Dudley (c) vs. Funaki for the Cruiserweight Championship:
The finish:
Funaki hit a sick stomp move while Funaki was in the tree and Funaki now with right hands. Funaki with a back body drop and a clothesline, followed by the bulldog for two. Funaki scores with an enziguri and covers for two. Spike misses a splash in the corner and Funaki goes up top and hits a flying cross body for two. Funaki to the middle rope and goes for a Tornado DDT but Spike blocks and hits a headbutt to the gut. Spike goes for the Dudley Dog, but Funaki rolled through and we have a new Cruiserweight Champion. Yep. A decent enough match.

Backstage:
JBL was shown staring at his title backstage and he looked worried. Doug Basham came up to him and she is going to leave as the champ, and Danny agreed with him and shook his hand. Amy came up next and she said no matter what, she will still be his image consultant. Orlando came up and shook JBL's hand and he thanked Orlando for being with him since the beginning. Orlando told JBL that he has this one, and they hugged as JBL made his way towards the arena. He then looked at his belt, looked back at his cabinet and the continued walking the hall way. This makes you believe JBL is a face.
Main Event: JBL (c) vs. The Undertaker vs. Booker T vs. Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Championship:
The finish:
Heidenreich gave the Undertaker a huge spinning side slam and he has destroyed the Undertaker! JBL then crawled over to Booker T who had been given a chokeslam earlier and made the cover but he kicked out! JBL then covered Eddie but Eddie kicked out as well! He then crawled to the Undertaker but the Undertaker sat up and then Heidenreich grabbed him and pulled him to the outside and locked him in a full nelson and then JBL scored with the Clothesline From Hell on Booker T and made the cover and JBL has retained his WWE Championship! Now, this is a match! In the top 10 of the year!

Rating: 10/10!
The Aftermath:
All three losing men were shown and they can't believe that JBL retained his title. The Undertaker looks pissed off.
Really, I have no clue how people do not like this event! It had 2 amazing matches!

Move of the Night: Everything Cena did to Jesus
Overall: Get Armageddon, next 20 bucks you have, go get it!

great match with lots of spots rey mysterio even powerbombs kenzo off the apron.
The match is a lot better than their match at No Mercy

2- Cena VS Jesus streetfight U.S Title
Nothing special and the worst streetfight i've seen it goes for 10 minutes and jesus hits Cena ony three times in the whole match.
this match is so boring i don't think it was even good enough for a velocity match.
Winner cena with the F-U

3- Boxing Match Puder VS Mizanin
Mizanin dominates until puder gets a cheapshot and in my opinion mizanin won bu it was the crowds decision so because puder is the face he was always going to win

4-Miss jackie VS Dawn Marie
This match was stupid dawn didn't shutup about how much she loved Charlie dawn wins with a rollup at about 2 minutes.

then charlie tells Jackie that he is having an affair with dawn and pulls a ring out of his pocket and says dawn you're a slut now you two kiss and because i'm sick of both of you.

5-bashams VS Charlie and hardcore
this match wasn't on the card and for good reason it sucked it is an excuse for people to go to the toilet.
This match goes for about 7 minutes and the bashams win it then hardcore gets annoyed at Charlie for costing them the match

6- 3 on 1 Handicap match show VS team angle
show gets dominated then comes back and chokeslams all three of them then gives jindrak the F5 ? huh what the hell but that got him the win

7- Funaki VS Spike cruiserweight title
this match is underrated and Funaki does deserve to hold the title.
After this match everyone should agree Funaki wins the title with a rollup at about 10 minutes

8- JBL VS Taker VS Booker T VS Eddie fatal four way wwe title
what a match to end the rivalry this match is great it has a ladder and it has you suprised nearly every step of the way
Eddie- hit three consecutive frog splashes on Taker the third off the ladder but JBL pulls him out of the ring.
Booker- Hits the scissorson jBl but he kicks out
taker was about to win but heidenreich intefered
both tables got broken in this one jbl elbowed Booker through a table then Taker gives JBL gives the last ride through the table
jBL retains with a clothesline from hellon booker thanks to heidenreich for disposing of taker

1. WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
RVD and Rey Mysterio vs Kenzo Suziki and Rene Dupree
WOW! actually a pretty good tag team championship match. Thats pretty cool. This was a good match and not real short like the other tag matches. Good show by all guys in this one. ****
2. Angle Invitational:
Kurt Angle vs Santa Clause
Ok this one was pretty wierd but not as stupid and bad as all the reviews made it seem, I thought it was comical and entertaining.**
3. Dixie Dog Fight:
Daniel Puder vs Mike Mizanin
Ha Ha Ha I take what i said back that last match wasn't funny this was funny this was just a little sissy boxing match running around like little girls around the ring so retarded. *
4. Extra Match Not On Card:
Charlie Hass and Hardcore Holly vs The Bashim Brothers
This was not a bad match for when you look at the names of the people in the match (No offense to Bashims i was talking about the other team) Ok match, Bad ending ***
5. U.S championship match Street fight:
John Cena vs Jesus (with Carlito)
This was a street fight, The fatal four way was more of a street fight than this was If youre interested all they did was go up the arena stairs for a few minites come back down use a trashcan lid and a sign and bam over Lame. **
6. Special Ref Charlie Haas:
Miss Jackie vs Dawn Marie
WOW what a treat charlie haas in two matches in one pay per view how great! NOT... Hot women stupid match. *
7. 3 on 1 Handicap Match:
Big Show vs Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak and Luther Reighns.
This match like the other reviews wrote was kind of short but it wasnt that bad for having to be so short. I like how the Big Show seemed to go on the ground more and speed the match up more than he usally does, but the big show using the F-5 that just insnt going to work. ***
8.Cruiserweight Title match:
Spike Dudley vs Funaki
I really dont have to write much about this one just look at the fans in the crowd they are dead spike dudleys skinny butt couldnt be a bad guy in a million years so gay. *1/2
9. Fatal Four-Way WWE Championship Match
JBL vs Undertaker vs Eddie Guerrero vs Booker T
This is the reason this pay per view got 4 stars this match was great it really was. Every guy in this one amolst won the match at different times in the match. The crowd was so in to it when undertaker set up after the frog splashes. There was tables and ladders involved too. *****!
Movie Review: This ppv is too under rated
Summary: 4 Stars
1) Rey Mysterio, RVD vs Kenzo Suzuki, Rene Dupree. this match was a great way to kick off Armageddon. RVD and Rey hit some really cool spots. 8/10
2) Dixie Dogg Fight. Dan Puder vs Mike Mizanin. this match is to under rated. i thought it was really cool to get away from wrestling for a bit and have a real good slug fest. i enjoyed this contest. 7/10
2) Kurt Angle vs Santa Claus. this match was really stupid and a poor attemp to waste time. Kurt Angle hit the angle slam and then the ankle lock to pick up the victory. 0/10
4) Basham Brothers vs Hardcore Holly, Charlie Hass. this match was a filler. i actually liked this match because it was a simple short match. this is another match that is too under rated. 7/10
5) John Cena vs Jesus. i expected a lot from this match. io was really diapointed with it. the whole match John Cena was beating on Jesus. nontheless is was a brutal match.even though it wasnt a great streer fight it was still a great match. 7/10
6) Miss Jackie vs Dawn Marie. this was a real crappy womens match. dawn and jackie are the worst women wrestlers in wwe and they definetly showed it in this match. It was great that Charlie dumped them both. 5/10
7) Big Show vs Mark Jindrak, Luther Reigns, Kurt Angle. this was a boring match. the first half of the match big show dominated and then the second half the big show got dominated. he still won though. 6/10
8) Funaki vs Spike Dudley. this is the worst cruiserweight match i have seen ever. it was slow and there were NO high flying or any real cool spots. slow and boring. 5/10
9) JBL vs Eddie Guerro vs Booker t vs Undertaker. this match should not have been the main event for the show. there were almost zero wrestling moves. there was a lot of punching and in booker's case kicking. It was still an ok match but not a good way to end the ppv and the year. 7/10
Over all this was a very good ppv. the main events did not deliver but the other matches were very good.I would rate this whole dvd a 7.5/10.in conclusion this would be a very good DVD to pick up. enjoy
