Movie Review: Outstanding historical drama
Summary: 5 Stars
Contrary to another review, this is NOT a two sided DVD. True, it is "full screen" as opposed to letterboxed, but this does not diminish the powerful, compelling nature of this outstanding movie. The video quality was very good, if not great, but this film was made in 1976 (and looks like it.) Great acting all around, especially by Max Von Sydow and Lee Grant, and the guy who played Max in "Cabaret" was a despicable villain. I would have really appreciated a few extras to give a broader historical perspective, and I do wonder what was contained in the missing 24 (!) minutes. All in all, an excellent movie. Get it.
