Movie Review: A Crime Classic

Starring Charles Bronson, Jill Ireland, Michel Constantin, George
Savalas and Telly Savalas.
One of the great crime films of the Seventies and one of Bronson's
best. Perfect in almost every way. Beatiful photography. Great score.
Unnecessary and obvious nude body double for Ireland who must have
refused to do nude scenes. Good for her. Bronson plays a troubled
professional killer who falls in with a bad crowd down New Orleans way. The film is oddly "restored" with Italian sequences added that really do not add anything and scenes originally in english dubbed into Italian. For example, the scene between Bronson and Ireland in the woods with the shotgun was originally in english. The alteration hurts the film particularly since the english dialogue is echoed in the climax while the Italian subtitles are different. So in this case, the VHS version is probably superior. Still.
A film so good it staggers.
A classic no one has ever heard of.
