Movie Review: watching this may have been worse than actually being in Vietnam?

If you are wanting to see a film that is well acted, if you are wanting to see a film that has a strong basis in history, if you are wanting to see a film that gives you a sense of the realities of Vietnam, if you are wanting to use your time wisely by watching something of value then this is NOT the movie for you. I was hoping that this would be a well acted and thoughtful dramatization of some actual events that occured in Vietnam, but it was not. What it was waas an old and rather cheesy film that had no substance to it whatsoever. There isn't enough bad things I can say about this, it truly sucked. Also, a warning to all of you who care, this movie does contain a lot of swearing (the F word) and gratuitous female nudity. (Which IMO is different than the nudity on something like "Taxi Cab to the Dark Side" which shows male nudity to strengthen the thesis of the film.)
In any case. I am loathe to be so harsh on a review, but this was an awful video.
Summary of Vietnam War Story
Every man who went to Vietnam has his story to tell, each more powerful, shocking and incredible than the last. Based on the real-life experiences of combat veterans, the nine episode series captures the full impact of the Vietnam War experience on everyday men and women. Stories such as the corporal who accidentally steps on a pressure-sensitive mine and waits eight agonizing hours for someone to defuse it. Or the account of an American farm boy-turned-soldier who discovers that bringing his aid to a starving Vietnamese village will result in personal tragedy. Then there is the story of Mary, a young and impressionable nurse who arrives for her tour of duty, facing the pain of wounded and dying men.
