To own this classic on DVD is a pleasure,especially, because, my Grandfather played french horn for NBC. I can actually, hear him, once again on the various tracks...Yes, unfortunately it's WAR again,but this series does a great job, showing, and, hearing it!Movie Review: It's all here, this version is NOT abridged!

boy...can't wait to watch it again. Great score, great narration,
heart wrenching film (from both sides of the Pacific war) & great

When I was a kid, my dad and I would watch the series every Sunday night after church. Both of us loved history and especially WW ll. I am now an old man and dearly love the series. Highly recommend to those that enjoy WWll sea action.

It is one of the greatest documentary films ever produced. It should be required viewing by history classes across the country, providing History is still taught. Today's students need to be reminded of the sacrifices that have been made.
