Movie Reviews of Veronica Mars - The Complete Third SeasonMovie Review: Veronica Mars 3rd Season Summary: 5 StarsThe disppointing part of this set was that there would be no more. It apparently was set up to have a 4th season, what happened? I became a fan after the show was cancelled. I haven't seen many series' that hold up season after season like Veeronica Mars did. She is extremely talented and I hope to see more of her. Wish this could have been a choice
Movie Review: Veronica Mars Season 3 Summary: 5 StarsAnother brilliant season of Veronica Mars! Sadly the last one as I have been made aware of recently :(
Veronica and her friends are now in College at Hearst, however you don't see much of Wallis, but she has made new friends now and occasionally catches up with Wallis.
The only thing that was not so great was (without giving anything away!) the open ending, I felt that the ending really didn't resolve much and it feels like another couple episodes should have been added to the season.
Previews are included on this disc for what they thought would be the 4th season, which looks interesting but seems to have lost the 'spark' the original three seasons had, so maybe it's not such a bad thing there are only the three seasons after all.
The outtakes are fairly funny, and it's good to see the cast and crew having fun :)
Movie Review: Veronica Proves to be Excellent Once Again Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great series and follows on well from the previous two. Very entertaining and great story lines. I couldn't help but watch episode after episode because I wanted to find out what was happening and who was committing the crimes! Well worth the money. I would recommend it to everyone. If you liked the first 2 seasons, you'll love this one. Great sneak peak into the 4th season as well, am looking forward to seeing it!
Movie Review: Veronica Mars - The Complete Third Season Summary: 5 StarsI just love these crime and solve them TV series. A fantastic series which I have just brought Series one and two of.
Movie Review: Kind of a let down.... Summary: 3 StarsFirst let me say that the service I received from the seller was stellar. My Veronica Mars boxed set arrived in just a few days and was in perfect condition. No complaints there. The season itself was quite disappointing. The first two seasons of Veronica Mars each had a major case that tied together the season as a whole. Not the case in season three. What you think is going to be the big case (the campus rapes) is solved by episode 9 & the other big case (the dean's murder)is solved by episode 15. Beyond the fact that Veronica & the gang have entered college, nothing else really changes. The characters never evolve beyond their season 2 personas, and the Veronica/Logan thing gets old pretty quickly. The writers attempt to give Roni a new love interest in Piz, but the two have absolutely NO chemistry. You hardly see Wallace, Mac, or Weevil at all this season, which is disappointing. And seriously, Keith loses the sheriff election for the 3rd time?! That's just pathetic. To top it all off, the season (& the series, mind you) ends at episode 20 (not at the usual #22) with no resolution. I'm talking total anti-climax. And then, there's this weird twenty minute, sneak peak that shows what direction the show would have gone in had there been a 4th season. Basically, the show would have jumped ahead in time, bypassing Veronica's four years of college (maybe three, considering her above average intelligence) plus however many years it takes to graduate from the FBI Acadamy, to her first day as an FBI agent. My reaction to this was, "Wha tha fuh?!" After watching this mini-episode, I was glad that they cancelled the show when they did. It peaked with it's first season.
All in all, it wasn't great, but I've sat through worse. And Kristen Bell's performance was engaging as always. If you're a Veronica Mars fan, it's worth having just to complete the set. If you're a casual watcher who will only view the episodes once, just rent it on Netflix.
