Movie Review: Veronica Guerin too EXCELLENT to NOT watch!

I've read about Veronica Guerin and some of what she did to pull Dublin out of the gutter at a serious cost. I was not disappointed in the filmed version of her story. Not expecting a tear-jerker, so the flow of tears at the end was a sad suprise. For people who have an ancesterial link to Northern Ireland/Ireland, this is a must watch. For everyone else, don't miss this wonderful, yet so tragic, true tale of drug society under the unforgiving lights of scrutiny!Movie Review: A moving and gripping film

I thought this was a brilliant film, very moving and non-sensational. The performance Cate Blanchett gives is outstanding, and the film tells the story of a brave journalist very well. I also thought it covered a lot of interesting issues and I would strongly recommend it.

this was such a stong, powerful movie that i just sat there in awe. i couldnt belive what i had just watched. the acting was awesome, but the story...was shocking. at the end i thought about what i had just seen and cried. a women, put herself on the line for the greater good, and lost her life in prosses. Cate Blanchett was so great in this role, as she is in all of her roles, but this takes the cake.Movie Review: Good movie

I was impressed by Cate Blanchett's performance even more so how well they cast her into this role. She definitely could pass for a relative of Veronica Guerin or that is what it looked like to me anyways. I went out and read a book about Veronica afterwards and was impressed at how well they covered this part of her life in such a short time. I am still waiting to own it. :)Movie Review: Excellent

A very realistic and, from what I have read of her life and murder, an extremely true to life movie. Parts of it are quite violent but then that is part of the realism. Parts of the movie are also very poignant, focusing our minds on the tragedy of the murder of this fine journalist. Cate Blanchett's Irish accent almost had me thinking she was Irish.
