Movie Reviews of Venus in FursMovie Review: The original "Sixth Sense." Summary: 5 StarsAmerican beat icon James Darren loses his saxophone -- as he narrates in hip "noir" voiceover -- and winds up in Klaus Kinski's sex cult, in this bizarre/cool/mega-entertaining Euro-extravaganza, which happens to feature an original score by Manfred Mann. It's millions of cuts above Franco's sometimes B-grade ouvre and features beautiful, widescreen cinematography and color. Not only is this film incredibly entertaining (MGM released it theatrically in the US in 1967) but the film actually ends with the same "original" plot device popularized in M. Night Shamalayan's "The Sixth Sense" thirty years later! (I wonder if Shamalayan saw this film?) If you want a fun movie to watch -- and you dread choosing something "sight unseen" -- this one is not much of a gamble to take; it's a blast!
