Movie Reviews of Varsity Blues

Movie Review: UNREAL, VERY TRUE TO LIFE
Summary: 5 Stars

i play football in a small town a lot like west canan. so i can tell you that this movie hits the nail on the head by the way that they portrayed football players and coaches in small town texas. football is god at least 3 months out of the year, and so are the players. its a lot more high stakes than you would think. great movie, realistic story. I LOVED IT.

Movie Review: Greatest football movie of all time
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the greatest movies of all time. Any Highschool football players can either relate to this movie or goes to bed wishing they could relate to this movie. This movie however, does not just pertain to highschool football players because anyone can understand the struggles they go through and the more than obvious sucess the find.

Movie Review: this movie is tight as hell
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie rocks. I've seen it with my boys like 6 times. The DVD picture quality borders on perfection and the sound is nothing short of amazing. This is one of the best movie on DVD I've ever seen. It's not really a movie for football diehards though if you want a movie like that see Any Given Sunday. For the rest of us Billy Bob 4eva!

Movie Review: A great comedy/drama! Van Der Beek, Voight are great!
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie is a very accurate (maybe exaggerated a little) portrayal of High School football and has strong lead performance by James Van Der Beek of "Dawson's Creek" and a strong performance by Jon Voight as the evil coach. This movie also features a killer soundtrack featuring Green Day and the Foo Fighters. A MUST HAVE!

Movie Review: Outstanding!
Summary: 5 Stars

I thought this movie was excellent. Recently graduating high school, I found it quite entertaining but not realisitic, face it, it's just a movie folks. But everyone knows someone like a character from the movie. It's appealing to anyone that has ever played football, but never got to be gods. Live vicariously with Varsity Blues.
