Movie Review: Deliciously Well Crafted Cinema
Summary: 5 Stars
Mira Nair's Vanity Fair is truly...a great acheivement. I have not read the book by Thackery but I know that I LOVE this movie. Everything was great. Reese gives the tied-for-second performance of the year (after Nicole-Dogville, and tied with Uma for Kill Bill) and the supporting cast was excellent. The Cinematography, Score, Costume Design, and Art Direction were all superb and added to the entire experience...great great film. The screenplay was witty and fun and added humor and enlightment to the whole affair. Go see this movie! If you love period pieces...this movie was made for yo, as it was for me.

If there's one thing I'm getting tied of it's the old the-movie's-not- exatly-like-the-book complaint. Of course not. If every movie was like the book they would all be unbearably long and BORING. Artistic license must be taken, and allowed by the viewing public. You purists most learn to enjoy movies based on books for what they are.
I love this movie. I'm glad Reese Witherspoon made Becky a more likeable character. She's still plenty "bad" enough.
Bravo, Reese!! And everyone connected with this film.
Movie Review: Don't follow the crowd

I thought this movie was excellent. At a time when it is nearly impossible to get through a movie without being attacked by profane images, it was truly refreshing. A real plot, imagine that! Some may think it is boring perhaps because it actually requires that you follow the storyline and you are not being barraged by explosions, nudity and profanity. As usual Reese was great as were her co-stars. I say Bravo! and bring on more like it!!Movie Review: Delightful!!!
