Movie Review: We Loved It

Vacancy is the story of a stuggling couple who journey home after a family function only to stumble upon the wrong motel. My wife and I went into this movie expecting bad acting and lots of gore. What we received was a very scary movie that was heavy on dramatic tension, and absolutely gore-free.
We loved this movie, as it exceeded our expectations on every level. It was very scary, devoid of horror movie cliches, devoid of gore, and had amazing actors with characters you actually cared about.
The creepy hotel guy was very fresh and unique as well.
I can't find a thing wrong with this movie. If you are looking for a fresh thriller/scary movie that doesn'r have gore and cheep frights, and that has some themes that will appeal to the 30+ audience, you can't go wrong with this film.
The unmarried, under thirty crowd may not appreciate this film because it has none of the cheap flesh shots or gory scenes that has become the industry standard, and because the marital struggles that the couple shares will really only hit home to couples that have been in it for a few years and have had children.
See it. A must see. It is not a slasher, but more of an intense and scary thriller.
