Movie Reviews of UshpizinMovie Review: INSPIRING, A CHALLENGE TO YOUR FAITH, GOD LOVES HIS PEOPLE Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is beautiful! We need more movies like this where God is truly portrait as a God of compassion over His people. This film really shows the challenge of walking the faith, and trusting God even in the midst of hardship; and as a Christian that I am, it gives a true description to Romans 8:28. The prayers and relationship of Moshe and Mali with their Lord is something we Christians should learn about. Remember Jesus said in Matthew 5:20 "unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisses and teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of Heaven" This film has a lot to offer and many lessons to learn. It is a must see. My family and friends who have seen it agree.
Movie Review: Great Movie! Summary: 5 Stars
An excellent film, thoroughly engaging and entertaining. It's really a story about a couple coming to terms with how G-d responds to our deepest needs and desires. Moshe and Malli are a childless married couple who are going through a particularly challenging time in their lives. Through their prayers they receive the miracles they are seeking however, these same miracles bring new challenges that continue to test their faith in God and ultimately in each other. I found myself laughing, crying and sitting at the edge of my seat all through the film. The film makers have treated the subject matter with dignity, respect and realism and created a profound film accessible to anyone. Highly recommended.
Movie Review: Tests from Heaven Summary: 5 Stars
This movie was a real joy, it takes place in Israel during the biblical feast of Succot (tabernacles).
It is a beautiful look into the hidden Ultra Orthodox community in Jerusalem.
Great story about how God answers the cry of our hearts and then the very provision tries our hearts.
This story is a double blessing.
I suggest it for the Christian community as a whole as I know the Orthodox Jewish community already embraces it.
We don't really realize how close we two groups really are.
I showed this to a packed house at our church during the feast of Succot, everybody raved about it.

Movie Review: Award winning movie - for a reason. Summary: 5 Stars
It's a pity that there aren't more movies like this. The collection of unknown (but interesting) actors, engaging plot and slick music draw you in and deliver a wonderful treat that people of all stripes will be able to connect with and appreciate.
I really recommend this movie for people of faith, especially Christians. Although the religion in this movie is Orthodox Judaism, seeing these people moved by their faith in God (especially how they're moved) is quite a treat! I wish more Christians had a vibrant faith in God as depicted in this movie (and I wish more Jews would embrace Jesus as the Messiah).
Get this movie. You'll love it.
Movie Review: Perfect! Summary: 5 Stars
My fiance ordered the Pal version from Aish.com when it first came out from Israel... I was dying to see this, the reviews were through the roof in Israel and the Jewish Communities in Europe that had already seen this. It hadn't yet made it to the USA, but with a multi-system DVD player.. MUAHAHAH!
I absolutely love this movie, and have watched it several times with friends... several times nearing about 50 times since I received it for my birthday last year.
Would we all endeavor to be like Moshe or Mali.. the world would be a lot better off! :)
