Movie Review: One of the best movies in years
Summary: 5 Stars

What a remarkable surprise! This film gives the viewer a strong experience--and so a first-hand understanding--of the incredibly subtle and profound topic it addresses. Watching it I felt confused, disoriented, annoyed, fascinated, intrigued, and ultimately awed by the way it wove in the loose ends for the finale. No details were overlooked. The highest praise I can give is that I have felt compelled to watch this movie several times, and have gotten more from it every time. It is a delightful and gentle work of art that will work in the back of your mind long afterward.

Summary: 5 Stars

Sewell is just splendid in this film. I doubt many people have seen it, but it's well worth the watch. Rufus's character is obsessed with finding where he fits in today's world, yet his uncle knows. It may seem a bit much at first with the uncle pouring out all of his only known inheritance(the wine), but there is a point to it all. Take my word on this; it teaches a person not to judge and to utilize his/her talents instead of "sqirming" away the hours of one's life.

You've already read all the customer reviews, so I cannot for the life of me understand why this little gem of the a movie is not longer available on DVD.
Great performances by the likes of Nigel Hawthorne, Minnie Driver and Rufus Sewell.
Funny, intelligent and uplifting screenplay.
Beautiful locale.
Fantastic soundtrak.
If I were you, I would snap up one of the last remaining six used DVD's sooner rather than later. I just did.

A friend recommended this movie to me, said to take it with a grain of salt. Not your typical Hollywood movie. I love it and watch it all the time. I never get tired of it. It is wonderful and rich, funny and touching. Nothing offensive or of questionable values in the movie. Wouldn't ever be embarrased watching it with your kids, or anyone else. Great movie.
