Movie Reviews of Unchained MemoriesMovie Review: Mind-blowing revelation of US slavery by slaves themselves Summary: 5 Stars
Fabulous and spine-chilling documentary of the horrors of slavery in 19th century USA, told by the slaves themselves - written testimonies read by actors with vivid, graphic photos; should be compulsory viewing for all secondary schools in history classes. Only thing is, you can't actually view it as it is because it's linked to the regional US DVD system.
Movie Review: a very informative dvd about the conditions and situations, that the slaves had to endure, Summary: 5 Stars
I actually got chills when I heard the voices of the former slaves
and those that lived during that time, being interviewed, telling of
their experiences. I have many books on Slave narritives. This dvd
is very interesting and is worth owning to share with others.
Movie Review: Bravo! Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this on HBO. It was awesome. Having the actors reading added life and feeling to these amazing stories. I think this is something that should be seen in school. Because it adds meaning to a hidden history of our country.
Movie Review: A heart tugging account of Slavery in America Summary: 5 Stars
I viewed this video several times on HBO. My sister who does not have cable, I purchased this for her and she as I was truly moved by the actual narrations of accounts given by the African-Americans who were enslaved.
