Movie Reviews of Unbreakable [Blu-ray]Movie Review: Written by Ryan Alexander Donovan. A truely underated film. Summary: 5 Stars Let me start of saying that if you like fast paced films, or if you think this film is a supernatural thriller like the Sixth Sence, immeadiatly stop reading this and go look for another film. This is a moderatly slow paced film revolving around character development. If you enjoy films like this then you will probobly greatly enjoy this movie.
The film is about David Dunn, a man who miraculously survived a train wreck, compleatly unharmed. Soon after the incedent, a strange man by the name of Ellijah Prince begins to follow David, telling him fantastic things, like that David is a superhero. Ellijah(played by Samuel L. Jackson) is in my opinion an amazing character. In the flashback scenes that occur early in the film, we learn that Ellijah has been cursed with a horrible dissease that makes his bones as fragle as glass. We soon learn that he has nearly given up on life, until his mother buys him a comic book. He is then whisked away into the fantasy world, and believes that there really are superheros, heros that will come come bringing hope. I could'nt help but be totally engrosed in his sad, yet uplifting life.
Overal the film is exelent, and is easally one of my favorite films. The film is a little slow at times, but that is made up for by the fact the the movie's final scene is one of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen. Just remember, they called him Mr. Glass.
Movie Review: Super Bore! Summary: 1 StarsYes, I found this movie a super bore! The story was so boring that I fell asleep twice watching it and had to rewind the tape to see what I had missed.
The pacing of the acting, writing and directing is highly snooze inducing. Overall, I found the movie meaningless, silly, artsy-fartsy, self-indulgent, pretentious, and unrelatable. I never felt for a moment that the actors were portraying real people whom I could relate to and sympathize with. By the time the movie ended, I couldn't care less and kept wishing it would end sooner.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on this--unless you've run out of sleeping pills!
Movie Review: Better as a coaster. Summary: 1 StarsThe movie's build up was great. The back stories of each character led you to believe something great was gonna happen. Each person discovering their purpose and roles was the foundation for a epic ending battle. Alas the movies ending was the most anti climatic ever. -spoiler- He calls the cops. No battle between the superhero and his arch nemesis, no super intelligent trap that the hero has to narrowly escape, nothing. All he did was walk away and call the cops. At that moment the movie became a Frisbee. And Shyamalan became the most overrated director of all time.
Movie Review: Unwatchable is right. Summary: 2 StarsThis movie s-cked big time. Awful story, script, acting, etc. It made Battleship Earth look like Schindler's List. M. Night Stinkylan is the most overrated director ever.
Movie Review: Great Movie Summary: 5 StarsWhat can I say? I like the actors, the plot and the director.
