Movie Reviews of Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? (Full Screen Edition)Movie Review: Love Tyler but wasn't impressed Summary: 2 StarsI felt like this movie left me hanging. I heard great reviews-people wanted to see it a second time-when it came out. The cast seemed great also I love Tyler Perry so my expectations were high...........and they were nto met. I don't think the acting was good and I thought the plot could've been better. It really didn't delve into the relationship issues like the beginning makes you think......I mean Janet is giving a lecture on her relationship book. A let down but we are all entitled to one so I will continue to support Tyler.
Movie Review: Why Did I Get Married Summary: 5 StarsIt is important for person to know that marriage is a full time job and both persons must recognise that superficial value should not be the foundation of a marriage it will never work because that party will start looking outside the marriage. Also marriage is all about communication and compromise and respect.
Movie Review: why did i get married.. Summary: 3 StarsTypical Tyler Perry movie; lots of real life situations.
I like the premise of the movie but it seemed like it took adultery a bit too lightly. But as always the right people get what they deserve.
A few couples meet at a cabin in the mountains. Their talking with each other leads to disclosures that hurt every one.
Movie Review: OMG!!! I loved this movie... Summary: 5 StarsI gotta say that I wasn't to convinced to watch this movie, but I saw what Tyler did with Meet The Browns, and I enjoy that as well. As for this movie I just LOVED IT, I'm not married yet but I can appreciate a good movie when I see 1. The cast is 5 stars, it's so hard to point out who was the best. But I will say that miss Tasha Smith was the funniest. I thought I was over all this romantic movies but this one touch to many cords for me to ignore, most of all I felt the realness to it. I saw my and my friends as those couples in a couple of years. Jill Scott was great I've never seen her act before but she did shine. As for the other cast members I was blown away... I JUST LOVED THIS MOVIE, no other way to describe it....
Movie Review: The black Big Chill / Four Seasons Summary: 4 StarsFor the most part, I enjoy Tyler Perry movies. When they are absent of Medea, his signature character, you often times find yourself wanting of something else because she is the center of his as well as the fictional characters' world. Here we have a group of eight friends (four couples) who meet every year for a get together in a cabin to have all their dirty laundry air out.
Some if it is a little too far fetched to be believed, but I guess anything and everything can happen in this day and age. Sheila actually endures the humiliation of having her pig of a husband not just have her thrown off the plane because she's too fat to fit in the seats, but brings his lover with him in her place only to have her be in complete denial why she is even in attendence at the cabin. One lush of a wife is screaming at her husband that the boughts of VD are not due to his infidelity but hers. Another couple is arguing about having children or not, about having sex or lack of, what the kids are doing with his baby's mama, etc. Funny how when you have a bunch of people cooped up in a house for a long time everything just comes out, and there is little alcohol mixed in save for the one with the obvious problem.
There is the typical rather predicable message of spirituality and resolving the obvious problems here, nothing will come as a major surprise. Tyler Perry has often times repeated the same messages over and over, but then again they bare repeating.
